From Brian Snow 247... this is from IU site as you can tell from his perspective here

There is nothing earth shattering to report on my end right now involving Dawson Garcia. The five-star big man who is the top prospect for the Hoosiers on their recruiting board made his visit to Minnesota, will make an upcoming visit to Memphis, and then also will visit Marquette and Indiana for sure, with a potential trip to North Carolina as well.

One piece of information that is definitely worth noting is that it appears Duke locked in on Hunter Dickinson, and not Garcia in the wake of losing Walker Kessler. So, it doesn't appear for now that Duke will be shaking up this recruitment, which is of course good news for the other schools, as Duke can always make things interesting.

I continue to believe that ultimately it comes down to Marquette and Indiana for his services, with the obvious caveat that visits can change things quickly. A great trip to Memphis or a great trip to North Carolina, or even a return unofficial to Minnesota could in theory drop the Hoosiers and Golden Eagles from the top spot.

Right now, the visits will be October visits, potentially into early November, with the plan to be to sign early.

When the timeline does get this condensed, it is always possible that Garcia does something like Zeke Nnaji did last year, where he commits in December and then signs in the spring, but at least for now, the plan is to sign early.

A lot more will be known this month, but for now, Indiana is right in it. I would still probably lean Marquette's way here, but the Hoosiers remain very much a fixture in this recruitment, with the all important stretch drive about to hit.

Thanks Mark for your report. When does Garcia visit Marquette?

Nothing is officially set yet for his MU visit.

Got together with a parent of a recruit . Had an interesting discussion about MU recruiting, the impact of Hausergate on MU in the recruiting market and Some perspective on how they viewed Shaka in the recruiting process. If interested PM for details.

I have insider information but will not be sharing it with the board.

If interested, please google "dogs on surfboards" because they're good dogs having fun and they know about as much about recruiting as I do.

Teal necessary here.  But if we were talking 247 Sports Crystal Ball it's Gospel and a stone cold lock to happen.

Corey Evans is the only pick, but he has been following that recruitment closely. Obviously not a done deal, but I definitely would rather see the trend in our direction than against it.

In fact, if Crystal Ball predicts a player to commit somewhere, they MUST commit there. Even if they want to go somwhere else.

Crystal Ball is omnipotent.

I thought the player had to go where crystal ball says?

Silkk the Shaka

The smoke around Davis after the MU visit is highly encouraging.

If he leaves UNC and the smoke signals don't change away from our favor I'll start to get very excited
