I've adjusted the available scholarship number to reflect Gardiner being granted one.  I assume only for purposes of the chart that he maintains the scholarship on a going forward basis.  Obviously none of us know Wojo's commitment to him beyond this year.

I assume all parties know it is a one year deal.  Any future years will be decided on a case by case basis.

I certainly would not include Gardiner as a 2020-21 or 2021-22 scholarship. Until they make that announcement, it simply would not reflect the almost certain reality.

I assume that too but let's actually sign some guys before we make that final determination!   :)

Osa visits Texas this weekend......says a decision should follow shortly after that.

I'd have felt more comfortable if we were last, but I think there were a couple other fairly recent recruits who went on other visits after Marquette and still ended up choosing our alma mater. So I'll remain optimistic.

Awesome. Did he say anything about us specifically in the article (I don't subscribe atm, so living vicariously throuhg your reading of it)?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

"With Vanderbilt, the NBA experience on the coaching staff," he said. "Stanford, I like the academics and their commitment to me.

"With Texas, the coaching staff, business school and their conference. Marquette, I like the coaching staff, players and team success."

When Ighodaro makes a final decision, two factors will be key to him.

"Team success and culture are most important to me," Ighodaro said.

Hmm culture and team success sound alot like players, coaches and team success to me. For whatever that is worth.

Osa told Marquette that he accepted their offer but he's visiting Texas to get Mrs. Smart's approval before the official announcement.

I'll take it for now. It feels like the recruiting news isn't really heating up until September. That said, directly talking to one of his points while talking abotu the team and coaches sure does make it seem like Marquette checks both those boxes. Hopefully they do so head and shoulders above the other schools in his mind. Would love to get a commit of his caliber locked in with Lewis (especially with how much his stock has been rising lately) by early September.

Thanks for posting. Interesting group of schools for his official visits. What do Illinois, Marquette, Rutgers, San Diego State and USC have in common? Or perhaps they each offer something unique in his eyes.
