Got it, didn't pick up on the sarcasm. Sorry.
No worries. I should have used teal.

Osa moved up to 56 on 247. Still don't want him?

That depends...I'd still rather have Dawson and Suggs before Osa. But if it comes down to it, sure, I guess I wouldn't be opposed to him. Just hate always being the bridesmaid for guys, that's all.

Sure. But Osa is now ranked ahead of a guy we were drooling over in Julian Strawther.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I personally was never drooling over Strawther. Some were though, yes. With the remaining scholarships...I'd love to finish this class with Osa, Davis, Garcia and Suggs.  :)

Hoping we can get the athletic types we are looking at to commit before we have to take any risk on un-athletic  types .

Interesting.  Kid has officials lined up to Cincinnati, Minnesota, Xavier, Northwestern and now Marquette.

Is the brother part of the deal?

Crystal Ball is meaningless, but the CB'ers seem to think this is a package deal.

There is zero chance we go down the path again of offering brothers as a package deal.  Both the Ellensons and Hausers left on bad terms; I doubt the coaching staff wants a repeat of that.

I'm in agreement.  Gabe by himself is fine.  He may not be "athletic" enough for Herm but he has sniper potential from deep and they're going to need some guys that can do that.

I have not seen Gabe play but those who I trust who have say he isn't " unathletic".......

I think it's code for, he's white.

I've only seen highlight videos, so not going to see his limitations but looks like a good shooter with good court vision.

No offense to Gabe at all but...If he ends up being one of their commits...well, let's just say this class LIKELY wouldn't be anywhere close to what a lot of us thought it had the potential to be at one time. Given the importance of this class to MU basketball in the future AND Wojo...it NEEDS to be a stellar class...likely needs to be the best he's had since he's been at MU...that's just my opinion.

Gabe is an elite shooter, plenty athletic, and would be a very good addition.   Rely less on rankings.

I know what he is...nothing against him as a player, but would MUCH rather land Garcia, Suggs, Ighadaro and Davis with the remaining scholarships....even two of three of Garcia, Davis and Suggs, I'd be giddy.

I had always thought that Luke Kasubke was a missed opportunity recruit for MU. He is a similar type of player being recruited by Xavier, Kansas St. others. He was part of the Milan Elite Peach Jam champions this summer and a former teammate of Caleb Love and Cam'Ron Fletcher former MU targets.

Fair enough, but Marquette has enough spots for all four of them and Gabe Madsen.  So let's see how the class shakes out.

To answer Glow's previous question, I will predict a class of:

Davis
Madsen
Ighadaro
Lewis
Brown-Ferguson

Jay Bee

Gabe definitely does have some athleticism.

As of UA league play, the brothers numbers were fairly comparable, with an edge to MASON.

If you were to be in the gym for a weekend, and say caught about 10 minutes of a few of their team's games over that weekend, you might come away thinking you like Mason a little more... he's not some huge stretch. I do think his best move is at a MM, but our conference peer offering them both isn't as wild as some may think it is. (Not a proponent of us doing it in this case, but just saying...)

Traditionally speaking , there are only so many qualified unathletic types out there. The odds for success favor a more athletic and dynamic pogo stick type kid with an edge. The percentages bear this out.
