Any thoughts on how the andre jackson home visit went?

If I had to guess... Wojo and Killings told him exactly what he wanted to hear

In 4 games, had 1 great game.. and 3 poor performances. FWIW
The Young man admits to the three bad performances . I like that he is realistic about where he is. Will work hard to improve.

Staff seeing Garcia, Suggs, and Dainja on Monday.

So we know there's a strong chance Symir reclassifies. I wonder if any of these forwards are thinking about reclassifying. Could really use the depth.

One correction is Steele said they are all 4 stars. Suggs is a 5 star and one of the top 10 players in the class.

Wojo and his staff should be doing whatever they possibly can do get Johnson to MU. There would be zero reason not to put the full court press on the kid. The kid plays within a nice run for Lovell range, so why would would you not chase him as hard as possible? If he did not chase this kid as hard as possible, he is not doing his job.

I will add, odds stacked against Wojo and would be a difficult get. Again, the kid plays within a Jimmy John's delivery zone. Put on the full court press and see what happens. I'd gladly take over the recruitment of all local kids if Wojo is too busy.

For the record Nicolet would be delivered by the port Washington rd jimmy johns. Just saying.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Galway,
For the record, I would use Lovell to my Jimmy John's delivery guy to get Johnson. If he was not available, Stan would be my guy.

100%

If you don't chase local kids that are pro bound then fold up the basketball program entirely because what is the point.

Well did we suffer not getting Stone or Looney? Yes it's nice to get them but let's get real it's not a program ending issue.

Pretty straight forward connecting of the dots on those two. What's always surprised me more was the Bucky did stay in on those. Always made me wonder if their squeaky clean reputation was merited.

I don't care of the geographic origins if the MU roster. With that said, I am all for a balance of local, regional, national, international combination of recruiting, for a variety of reasons.

If there is a good or great player locally that shows interest in MU, recruit the player. If that player does not show interest, move on. This can be said for pretty much anywhere.  If MU has 10 kids on the team from Milwaukee, great. If they have zero, great.  As long as MU is successful as a program, do what works and is effective.

Their squeaky clean reputation is not merited.

Yes, as well as not pursuing Herro per the Hausers dislike of a "ball hog."

I'd love to see evidence of that either being true or not true, too.

Getting a Looney or any of the big three out there now could be a program changing get. Not sure why some on here always look for a reason why something good did/does not happen. To not chase big time recruits in backyard should be a warning sign on coaches cred or program cred.

It is funny, between recruiting and transfer thread, there are several guys that have been pointed out as guys we cannot get because they are going back or to the home school in their area. Yet, we have guys in our backyard and we can get them. To me, that speaks volumes about program and Wojo, the coach.

4everwarriors

I have indisputable, direct knowledge of the thought process of one of those players with regards to MU's recruiting efforts. Can only theorize about the other two.

You throw out one-liners about the Herro thing quite often but I haven't figured out what you are actually claiming.

Is it your contention that neither the Hauser boys nor their parents ever approached Wojo or any of the coaches to say they'd rather not play with Herro -- and therefore those who have claimed it happened have been lying all along?

Or is your contention that they did say those things to Wojo/assistants but the coaches should have ignored the Hausers and pursued Herro anyway?

Thanks.

I'm starting to think that Symir might not reclassify. If he was going in that direction no reason to not have already made the decision public.

Most kids who are committed to a school and plan and joining the program in the summer don't play AAU ball as a defacto senior.

Is Mannion playing AAU ball this spring?

Hopefully I'm wrong.....would love to get him here for the summer trip.

I think he's talking about Looney because he knows the family.

Mannion has already signed his NLI and is graduating while Symir  has yet to do either one.  So, why not play some ball?

Oh.

But I'd still like to know his actual thoughts on the Herro thing. Doc comments on it often without really saying anything.

Yeah, I was wondering that as well. I find it hard to believe symir would play aau ball this summer if he was planning on coming here this upcoming season.
