I saw 1 article that said Maryland has offered 6 players from the 2020 class from the D.C. area and that there are 4-5 others who may be worthy.

In there is a section on Samuell Williamson with a few quotes. I didn't realize that his mother and older brother went to Kansas. Highly rated Texan with KU connections, where have we heard this before?

I don't expect to get him, but he made an unofficial visit to Marquette 2 weeks ago.  It's not like there's been no contact, he cut his list since the visit, and I can't imagine he had such an awful visit that he immediately cut Marquette from consideration.

Maybe I saw a different comment, but the comment I saw just had him listing 3 schools that were recruiting him the hardest.  He didn't call out Marquette for not recruiting him as hard as other schools.

Kansas was not one of the three schools that he listed as "recruiting him as hard as others."  Maybe the ship has sailed on Kansas for him too?

He did? I remember him saying 3 other schools were working hard to recruit him. But I don't ever remember him saying Marquette isn't working hard on him

Go to the 17U EYBL group and you can see schedules, stats and maybe even a live feed of Rocket Watts. Watts leads the event in scoring and assists heading into today.  As much of a priority as any 2019 recruit?  I think so.

Oh definitely a priority. The more I think about it, the more I think this class will be 1 of Mannion/Watts with Bishop as a backup. Then the other slot will get filled via transfer or a late blooming freshman.

I have no actual knowledge here, but I do think that Mannion/Watts are the top priority. I assume the announcement on the 20th is a formality for Mannion about reclassifying. Maybe he will just also pick Marquette that day as well...
