Thats funny, because u know?  Unlike u im not going to name baseless credentials on an internet forum.  But your experience that you state pales in comparison to my interactions. So you can contine to make stupid conjecture from behind your computer screen and i will continue to laugh at you.

This might be the most internet post of all time.  I'm honestly impressed.

Okay.  You win.  You are an expert.

I'm not even pretending to be an expert.  I certainly was never personally recruited to play D1 athletics.  But I have seen enough kids get recruited to know that if they said to some coaching staff, "We have a pretty big game this week, would be sweet to see you there," it wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world to have Wojo say, "Well, we've got a private jet, we could probably make that work, see you tomorrow kid."

I have no idea what Grimes does in the offseason.  Which is why I asked if it was a request by Grimes (come check out this activity OR I've decided to narrow in on 2 schools and you aren't included but I'd like to talk to you in person) or if the staff just decided to show Grimes more love.  You obviously think you know, so what's the reason for the visit?  You obviously think Wojo and staff just wanted to make the trip, so what more are they selling that they forgot to mention on their visit to him 10 days ago?

You are correct. This happens all the time. Last fall MU made these kind of special trips for Jordan Nwora and Xavier Tillman.

I still say they would have gotten Tillman, but having a baby with his girl friend, probably was to hard to leave the area.

He literally says "I'm not going to name baseless credentials on an internet forum" only to IMMEDIATELY follow up with "your experience you state pales in comparison to my interactions."
The epitome of hypocrisy shown in back-to-back sentences.  Then makes some dumb comment about "making stupid conjecture from behind your computer as I laugh at you" when that's EXACTLY what he's doing then and always.  It is 100% the internetiest comment ever: hypocritical troll to the max.

In this day and age, that XKCD comic might go down as the greatest web comic of all time.

i've always wondered how this plays out.  i don't see a staff flying down so they can say their goodbye's face-to-face, but i do wonder how frequently coaches are told "no", and they manage to change a kids mind before he announces by not accepting "no".

Ah, yes, I remember it well - the "grown up" version of "my dad can whup your dad".

Thanks for the heads up, Doc.

Quickley should be deciding soon as he cancelled his Miami visit. I would rather him go to UK and Dotson go to KU. If Quickley goes to KU, UK will really ramp things up with Grimes.

If Grimes leaves Austin without committing, those two commits could all but seal it for us.

FWIW, KUScoop doesn't feel very confident about Dotson. But they already have a crowded backcourt with LaGerald Vick, Charlie Moore, Sam Cunliffe, and Malik Newman all likely being around in 18-19. Especially if the Lawson bros play the 3/4 in instead of the 4/5.

UK is an interesting case. Unlike most years, I'm not convinced that the majority of their 2017 class will go pro. Their freshmen are ranked #10, #11, #12, #15, #18, #26, #31, and #72. All of them certainly have pro potential but I would probably only list Diallo and Knox as sure fire one and dones. I'd guess that Green, Gligeous-Alexander, and Baker will all be there as sophomores. Add Quickley and it quickly gets crowded in the backcourt.

Saw this quote from Evan Daniels on a UK recruiting article about Grimes: "Assuming Kentucky gets Immanuel Quickley, they're fighting an uphill battle," Daniels said, "but they're getting an official visit — and any time Kentucky gets a kid on campus, they're going to have a shot at getting him."

I'm pretty sure he cancelled his Miami visit due to Hurricane Irma. Doesn't necessarily mean that he won't reschedule.

Correct on the first part. I should have elaborated that he isn't rescheduling his visit to Miami. It's a two team race.

That board is also a big bunch of negative nancies; whatever the flaws of the crystal ball, they're still the favorite for Dotson over Florida.
