Wisconsin is going to have a "national title window"???!!  If so then MU is entering one too, as MU has simply killed Wisconsin in the area of recruiting.

Rare that we agree, but I also feel this is laughable at the moment. I'd say it's true that Wisconsin had a national title window, but that window closed to a sliver's breadth when Kaminsky and Dekker left and slammed shut when Hayes and Koenig left. Maybe Gard can recreate Bo's magic, but other than Happ there's no one proven left and I've seen nothing to indicate Gard can turn three-stars into five-stars the way Bo did.

With Michigan State, Purdue, Maryland, and Michigan solidly built going forward and Minnesota, Northwestern, and possibly Indiana and Ohio State in their ascendancy, I think Wisconsin's goal for the next few years will just be making tournaments. I could be underrating them, we did it all the time with Bo, but until Gard proves he can do it with his own guys, I think they are fighting an uphill battle in a conference that is improving faster than they are.

Now,  back to recruiting.  I'd really appreciate it if you guys close to the ground can stay up on the '18 class activities.  I agree we can be very selective but it will be interesting to watch that angle. Is Wojo willing to oversight?

Looks like WI PGE has two 17U teams and a 16U team in the Las Vegas Classic.. will try to track down Nobal for at least a game.

D1 Minnesota and Iowa Barnstormers would face each other if either both win on Wednesday (then play at 9:20am local time on Thursday) or both lose (noon on Thursday -- kind of preferred based on my travel schedule). Regardless, I'll see at least one of Joey's two games on Thursday.

Basketball U (Grimes) is playing at the same location.. noon and 5:20pm on Thursday...

Fan favs Big Baller will be playing there as well..

Hard to read much into this short of an article especially when the kid is only a rising sophomore....but I did love these back to back responses:

It's home, it's close to home, that's what I like about it.

What sticks out about Marquette?

Everything. The dorms, everything is nice because it's all newer because it's a smaller private school and I like that.

So he likes everything about Marquette and likes that Madison is close.

If Joey wins the Wisconsin Mr. Basketball award next spring, that would be 4 out of the last 6 years we've landed the state's top player: Luke Fischer (2013), Henry Ellenson (2015, tied with Diamond Stone), Sam Hauser (2016) and Joey Hauser (2018).

Wisconsin has 1 in that stretch: Kobe King (2017).

Glad to see that Wojo continues to make recruiting the best local talent a priority — and that he's getting results.
