If he says so. Anything south of Highway 72 might as well be Missouri

Assembly Hall is south of 72

MU82

Once again, I will do my part to bring Joey here by NOT inserting his name into my screen name.

It worked with Henry, Markus and others!

Y'all are welcome in advance.

With that, my pessimism meter spikes. Just not you know where please.

I second this..still think the longer this goes the less optimism we should have. I'm okay with it if he goes to Michigan St..or even Notre Dame or anywhere else..just NOT UW.

Joey "Cream" Biggums would be a great porno name.

Using the old "first pet and street name where grew up" deal, I have a great porn name:

Hey, maybe I should retire "MU82" and go with that!

Guru man. We gotta get you laid or something. You are a little too invested in this recruitment.

THIS I absolutely 100% agree with.  8-)

But see..that to is a lot like recruting..I zero in on my A list targets..only to see them go to a "blueblood". My B list targets decide on those that have had more sucess recently..and by the time i get to my C list..after evaluating them closer..they are really low major prospects..granted my time was 20+ years ago..I just don't relate to the current crop like i used to. Thats on me

So because he grew up in a part of Illinois that may as well be Missouri he won't want to play basketball in a part of Illinois that may as well be Missouri?

Oh I see what's going on.  I read Jay Bees post as "don't say he's from Saint Louis,  he considers himself from Illinois." Not that he was an Illini lean. Not sure which is correct. I have no idea where he's going to school,  I just like making fun of southern Illinois

Who decided we were the leader? Mark Miller, for one, and also people on this board who (unlike you) have real connections to the program.

You want him to be a teenager and don't particularly care which of his "great choices" he picks. Fine. But the vast majority of us (this is a Marquette site if you didn't know) really hope that he picks Marquette. Spare us the lectures.

Mark Miller made his prediction July 2, 2015, more than two years ago when the young man was 15. Do you have children? Do you remember when they were 15 and their decision making process?

Mark is a great resource for college and high school basketball in the state of Wisconsin, but he isn't infallible.  The only information that counts is that from Joey Hauser.   Mark has had some good years in predictions ( http://247sports.com/User/Mark%20Miller/Predictions?PlayerInstitution.PrimaryPlayerSport.Recruitment.Year=2016&PlayerInstitution.PrimaryPlayerSport.Sport=Basketball ) and some not so good years ( http://247sports.com/User/Mark%20Miller/Predictions?PlayerInstitution.PrimaryPlayerSport.Recruitment.Year=2014&PlayerInstitution.PrimaryPlayerSport.Sport=Basketball ), but I enjoy his information either way knowing it is good, not perfect.

He does have the option of switching his prediction, so he must still be fairly confident in Marquette. The link you included with the bad years is flawed, considering he was correct on Pierce, Hill, and Shayok.  Then Buzz left.

A lot like recruiting indeed.  Focus on the package deals for maximum returns.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

By comparing it to Missouri?

As a Missouri resident i take great offense to this.

Also, as a Missouri resident i can't say i disagree.........outside of 6 KC neighborhoods and 2 in St. Louis which are incredible.

Excuse me!!!!

Both my children go to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Southern Illinois actually is quite charming, if you look for it. Sure there's the guys atop the Deere 8820 Combines and they're OK. But there also is some pretty rugged country, wonderful scenery, waterfalls and even a few wineries down there. Not sure I'd drink Chateau Murphysboro but it's fun if you look.

So in his "bad" year he predicted that 4 guys (Cohen, Pierce, Shayok and Hill) would commit to Marquette. They all did. Four for four in your off year is pretty good.

I hope I'm proven wrong, but I maintain the fact that this recruitment has dragged out this long, and will be for another month at least(it sounds like), does NOT bode well for MU. If it was MU, I THINK/feel like it would have been over already.
