Who decided we were the leader? A message board?  Did Joey ever say that, ever? No.  Only speculating, talking heads that aren't Joey Hauser.  They're teenagers, let them be teenagers.  He either chooses MU or chooses something else, either way the world continues on.

Who decided we were the leader? Mark Miller, for one, and also people on this board who (unlike you) have real connections to the program.

You want him to be a teenager and don't particularly care which of his "great choices" he picks. Fine. But the vast majority of us (this is a Marquette site if you didn't know) really hope that he picks Marquette. Spare us the lectures.

Or it could mean that Gard knows he isn't going to get Joey, or is worried enough that he might not get Joey, that he's off scrambling to find someone else to fill his 2018 scholly.

Joey has kept things close to the vest through this whole process, as has Sam ("of course I'd like him to come here but it's his decision).  Maybe it's all muddled, maybe he is a lean, or maybe he knows exactly where he's going but doesn't want to give up the opportunity for prime seats at a Michigan State or Notre Dame football game.  This is going to happen on his timeline, and we can only wait with baited breath for the outcome.

Dean Oliver watched Hauser while Gard was watching Herro and Days.  Gard will be watching Hauser today and tomorrow.

I think taking two days' worth of a coach's location and taking it to be somehow indicative of a recruit's preference (either way) is misguided.

GOO

On Board as well.  I'm sure he'll make a great decision, after considering all of the factors and also the players he will be surrounded by... Wojo has recruited and continues to recruit true high character guys who are true student-athletes.  And who are skilled players, who want to continue to develop.  Wojo is building a program, not a year to year scramble as he had to do when he took over the job.  Mr. Hauser would fit well into what Wojo is doing, on and off the court.

Let's hope Wojo can get another high character guy in one Mr. Hauser. I imagine we will know his decision by the end of the summer; if not, then he really must be conflicted or enjoying the recruiting process.

You say that but multiple people were using Gard's absence to be indicative of which way Hauser is leaning.

Well, I know at least one of them was jokingly suggesting it and, while posting it, never assumed anyone would actually believe it.

So this afternoon Sam is texting Joey.

"Bro, they're doing the name thing on Scoop for you!  They haven't done that since Henry.  And playing with me ain't like playing with Wally, lol.  C'Mon man."

I had to throw in the 'lol' thing because everyone under 30 includes that in every single text.
