So Ners comes back and on his 8th post brings up John Dawson - a guy whose been gone for almost two years.

There were two posts in this thread that brought him up. I didn't bring him up.  It is interesting and ironic that some here are counting on big things from a transfer from the same conference Dawson now plays in and posted numbers that best Rowsey's in many ways.  End of story.  And by the way:  An assist rate of 25.9% is pretty "Magic Dawson."

I can promise I won't bring him up this whole season - though I have NO doubt others here will bring him up somewhat frequently - almost as frequently as my name was mentioned here in my time away. Then again Dawson will probably have a huge year at Liberty and the same of you who ridiculed my take that he was a good prospect won't want to post about him.

I'm excited for this upcoming season, and think we have a lot of potential and am hoping like hell Wojo has his best coaching year here yet.   That in and of itself should eliminate a lot of the angst some of you had here with my posts and takes on Wojo's first two years.   Furthermore, Derrick is long gone.

As a former grade school player, I don't think you can underestimate how important John Dawson would have been to the Warrios this season.  Seeing the last man on the bench waving a towel is quite inspirational.  It's even more inspirational when it's a 4 year senior waving that towel.  Instead, it'll probably be a walk-on or sophomore.  Sad
