This past weekend featured HS recruiting showcases. Here are some notes.


Egbuonu and Morillo both played at the NEPSAC showcase.  As I mentioned earlier, Shaka and Cody Hatt were both there watching Egbuonu. I also assume they watched Morillo, just haven't seen confirmation.

June Jam was the WI based event.  The 2027 class is loaded with 4-6 high major players, and Nevada Smith took in the action.

We'll see how it shapes out, but the class of 2027 could be special.  We seem to be in a good place with a lot of really high level players.  Some that are ranked highly, and others that seem like they're blowing up.  A lot of talent in the Wisconsin and Chicago areas.

Great highlights. Truly looks ambidextrous - dunked right-handed, made layups easily with either hand, shot his jumper left-handed, adroitly went left or right via the dribble. Nice!

I have yet to see Morillo's name in NEPSAC reports, so not sure he played this past weekend. 

I haven't seen any mention of Morillo by name either, but his school (Newman School) was there.

Marquette not listed among the coaches watching Newman for the two games I saw tweeted about.  So who knows?
