Jensen seems to be trending more towards a midmajor level.

We're still recruiting him, but my guess is thats just in case he blows up this summer and all of a sudden looks like an impact Big East level big.  But again, that last comment is just my speculation.

Seen him play twice, mid major is about right, GB or Milwaukee is where he belongs!

We need shooters and players who can dominate games.

MU82

We need good players. Shaka only recruits bad players.

Can either freshman forwards next year good enough to add some shooting or an inside game?

Was at the game. Stephens played well, especially on defense. He plays team ball, so he is not a ball hog and will go several minute stretches without shooting. Plays with lots of energy and his D should earn him some playing time next year.

Can he shot the 3? Form look good?

He didn't take many three 3-pointers today, was 1 for 3 I think. Had some really nice drives though and a couple pull up jumpers. Let the game come to him and didn't force anything.

A jump shot, MU players do not have jump shots!

At least Michael Phillips has picture perfect shooting form and range well beyond the three point line. So Marquette will have one shooter in the future.

Phillips will have a great chance to get minutes right away, a little weak upfront.  Can see Gold, Parham and Phillips.  Not sure about the other bigs.

Ahead of Owens and Lowery at the 3.   :o

No playing as one of the bigs next year,
Lowery, Owens Zaide and Ross will play 2 and 3. Hamilton, Amadou, and Clark mainly play center, not sure any of them will help, hoping Clark can work out.

tower912

You realize he is 6'6, thin, and young for his class.

Never seen his body, so maybe he won't play right away, but that leaves you very weak upfront, portal, no way rather stay weak upfront

Miletic can definitely make 3s........the biggest question with freshmen is always how quickly does it translate to college and do they do enough defensively etc to earn a place in the rotation?

When Zaide was in high school some posters watched him play.........myself included.....he had a beautiful 3 point shot that went in a lot.......over 40% iirc........I was convinced he would be a good shooter here. Then in a limited role last season and early this year he struggled..........form still looked good but in limited minutes and shots that were few and far between not many of them went in.............fast forward to this big east season ........he is red hot from 3 and has been our best shooter.......still in limited attempts........

Not everyone is a Novak, Sam Hauser or Markus Howard that light it up from deep right out of the gate.

BCHoopster

Can Militic help upfront or is he just a wing?

Even with his limited attempts last year included, Zaide is almost a 40% 3 point shooter for his career. His outside shot is so smooth it should always be there for him.

To me though 19-32 inside the arc is a huge deal for him. He's a good player, not just a good shooter.
