I think you might actually be Big East Golden Eagle on Twitter.

My X account pretty much exists so that I can find and repost Marquette content, but primarily vent and complain about Matt LaFleur and the Packers.

Andrew Jensen had 34 points and 11 rebounds in a 9 point win for Kakauna over Oshkosh North on Friday.

Final was 103-94. Xzayvion Mitchell of Oshkosh North (Iowa State) finished with 50. Mitchell followed up that 50 point game with a 51 point game on Saturday.

Wow.

*Added*
According to Wissports, Mitchell has only scored less than 32 points in 3 games this season. Currently averaging almost 39 ppg. I know it is outside of the Marquette world, but that seems to be flying under the radar. Maybe 39 ppg isn't what it used to be? Iowa State seems to have gotten a great player.

38.6 PPG for Mitchell

Rest of the team 34.6 PPG

Oshkosh North is 8-8. Methinks his teammates are bad at basketball and his scoring average is inflated as a result.

Marquette: "I liked how the team functions. I got to see how the practice would be and the game. I saw the traditions they have. I went on Marquette moms night and that was big to me because it showed how family oriented they are. The coaches showed me how I could be a big part of the school and the basketball program. We went through a lot of film of me and how my style of play matches theirs. They tell me that I am versatile and play on both ends with a good motor. I bring emotion to the game and they like how much I care."

I can't tell you the number of times my daughter has told me, "people are saying" about various topics.

I always reply, "By 'people' do you mean one person on Twitter?"

Invariably, her answer is, "Yes."

It would appear that GoldenEagles03 is "Marquette Fans."

Obvious doesn't read Scoop, else would have asked what his Willard nickname will be.

JJ Andrews' official visit is this weekend. 247 Sports composite currently has him at #31 in the class of 2026. If we're lucky enough to nab him, he'll be Shaka's highest ranked recruit at MU.

Andrews sure picked a great game to attend.

Would love to see him in our 2026 class. Dude is a beast.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Initially thought we'd find it hard to compete with his home state WalMart and Tyson money at Arkansas with Cal, but he seems to dig himself a deeper hole every year. Hopefully culture can win out with a top recruit.

Cal keeps hanging on to that DDM offense that was really effective when you had Derrick Rose or John Wall running point, but that feels like a long time ago.
