Might be interesting that the Minny 'insider' Kyle Goblirsch has picked Theo to Marquette.  Jay Bee, is this a guy who has an ear to the program up there?

Anyway, for the past two months, Kin to Dayton & Theo to us has made the most logical sense and bee the best fit. So, I still think that's how it shakes out, BUT... crazier thangs have happened

Stan and Theo are very close, with Theo telling an interviewer that it was not uncommon for them to talk over an hour on the phone. Is this tweet about Stan making an assumption that Theo  would commit to us? Or is it pointed at Theo, regarding a false assumption about the Minn program that could lead to him missing out on an opportunity to play  for a rising program in MU? Troublesome timing and content of this tweet. Hope I'm wrong.

Jay, I wasn't discussing how relevant CB was, just whether you respected this guy's inside knowledge. Apparently not. Good enough.  My gut says Dayton/MU too but we'll see.

Kyle Goblirsch tends to paint a very rosy view for his followers. I've seen him predict quite a few recruits to the Gophers in spite of strong evidence to the contrary right up until the day or two before the kid commits elsewhere.

But when he predicts bad news for the Gophers I tend to believe him. I think he has sources, but he knows bad news doesn't keep 'em coming back. So he holds off as long as he can.

As for CBs in general, what has been described is generally true. Local guys pick early, but others jump in at the last second when they hear news from their colleagues. But that, to me, is reason to believe the CBs in the John case, not discount them

What seems interesting to me (and perhaps informative) is that Wright did his official visit this past weekend at Dayton.  He and Theo certainly have a bond and seem to have wanted to do this the 'right' way.  I can certainly envision the timing being more related to the Wright visit where he just wanted to be sure than anything Theo did this past weekend.

One thing's for sure, we could sure use Theo right out of the box next year.

The way I see it is ...

Tillman - 50%-60% or so? Wojo has pulled out all the stops (no pun intended) which is encouraging
John - 90+%, Big Daddy's post, seems like we're trending here on decision day
Nwora - 30%-40%, the Louisville offer is big but we were in early
Cain - ?, us and Michigan it seems
French - ?, us and SLU but could be he was told to hold off till other guys decide

Well, the CB is lining up as guys try to improve their scores with last second 'correct' predictions.  Please, no need to comment further on CB's predictive power.  They'll be a lot of 'egg' if they turn out wrong.  I just remember the same thing happening in reverse last Spring over a couple guys.  I think some even changed AFTER the announcement!

Human nature is funny.  Over on their board the 'cooling' on John began at precisely 9:33a. Now there's a thread about how they simply MUST get French on campus for a visit.  Read back a little bit and there was a debate about what Wojo's apparent trip to Minny meant.  Was it a last ditch effort to save the recruiting effort as some mused?

They're worse than we are.  At least they haven't started bad mouthing the young man yet.  Let's hope that doesn't happen.  Even here.  Let's remember that later today.
