Cincinnati landed a commitment from a coveted shooting guard and local player on Sunday, when Rayvon Griffith chose the Bearcats during a live ceremony on CBS Sports HQ. Griffith is a four-star prospect from the Class of 2023 who picked Cincinnati over Alabama, Kansas, Ohio State and UCLA.

Devin Royal for 2023 is who I want really bad from this list. Recently had an in home with Shaka and has a connection to Sean Jones I believe.

Here is some recent highlights of Devin Royal:

It will depend a lot on who gets involved. Shaka did the right thing by offering Phenom guys early, but clearly the focus for their program is to get guys to blue bloods as often as they can. If Kentucky is seriously involved, Marquette won't just be recruiting against the Cats, they'll be recruiting against Herro and Curro as well.

Luv watchin' Herro and Morant. Bucks have know won two match der quickness and energy, hey?

The Phenom guy i really want them to try for is Kon. He is a nba shooting role player through and through. Unless Ben Gold is on fire to start the season, that is a player we haven't had in a while.

As for instate recruits. I think Shaka is well positioned with the 2 Thomas More guys if either of them take a step up.

Agree completely on K2. And I think there's a potential long legacy there if we can land him.

Yep - watching a couple of Pewaukee games, I came away more impressed with Kon than Milan. Not taking anything away from MM, but Kon stood out much more as the offensive threat.

That's interesting.  All the film Ive watched on him have left me mehh.  He's got a nice shot, but he seems to lack any explosiveness or foot speed.  Feels like a shorter Sam Hauser than a Tyler Herro.  Not saying he's a bum, and he's obviously still young, but does nothing to wow me as of yet.

Is he a true 6'5 or more like 6'4?

Kentucky watched him recently. No idea how serious, but they're at least sniffing around.

Kon doesn't play for Pewaukee.  You might be thinking of Nick Janowski.

I watched Pewaukee twice at State. I like Janowski as a shooter, but that's the only thing that stood out to me.  Maybe Nick can do more, but in my limited viewing I like Milan a lot more.

Yes, for sure.  I wasn't aware of Norman when I first put my list together, but in the past 2-3 weeks it's become clear he is a priority.

My bad - the first time I saw him play was at the Wisco Lutheran pewaukee instant classic game.

Milan lacks the killer instinct that will make him a great player at the next level. Just my opinion.

Well if Creighton is in on him we may as well just move on.

He's going to be a really safe player in college - high floor low ceiling guy. If he lands in a good spot and is able to play right away, he'll be a really solid once he catches up to the speed of the college game. His skill set is very translatable to the college game. Athleticism will always hold him back, but has a really good core skill set.

Joseph "JP" Estrella to visit Marquette on June 1, Tennessee on June 8.

Milan is no where close to the same shooter Hauser was/is.
