I'm going to pretend I didn't see this because it kind of ruins my name change.

Don't see Sibley at all.......he isn't really a big.....just another forward of similar size to Lewis.

It will be interesting to see who they target other then Mane.......who seems to view himself as a point guard from what I read in an interview.

I agree on Sibley, just pointing out the guys we've actually been associated with. I don't think he's still a serious target considering who we have committed.

Quote from: jsglow on November 20, 2019, 06:39:27 PM
Do we have offers out to all those guys?  I can do a proper chart update with whatever you experts think makes sense.

Offer to Mane for sure. Terry they reached out to after he decommitted from MSU. Greer and Polk we've inquired about, but I don't think either have actionable offers. Polk did work out with the team a couple weeks ago but if he had been offered, I think it would've been reported. Like Mark, I don't think we're in on Sibley anymore, but he's one of the few uncommitted bigs we are still listed as having contact with. Gray I think is more realistic as the staff will most likely be seeing him tomorrow. They are in for Mane, but Gray will be playing at the same event. I'd consider him a name to watch.

I think Mark's point is more that Sibley is not considered a big.

Are we involved with Baldwin?

https://247sports.com/Player/Patrick-Baldwin-Jr-46050268/

If he wants to come, then sure, but I would be shocked if it's not Duke or Kentucky for him. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

MuMark

We are involved to,the extent that we'd love to have him......along with every other school in the country.

I don't think anyone believes he is a realistic option for us.

With Dawson/Justin/Oso, it's highly unlikely Baldwin would come here.

Dawson signing could help open the door with Suggs who has been pretty quiet. Dawson could also lead to us getting in the mix with Chet Holmgren.  We could have a monster lineup of :
Dawson
Oso
Justin
Holmgren
Suggs

4 switchable bigs and a monster size PG.

Size matters.

Suggs is a pipedream and would be gone by the time Holmgren got here.

I think the most realistic option out of MN prospects is Kendall Brown. He and Dawson know each other, Brown's visited already and they seem to fit well on the court.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I don't know much about recruiting or follow it, but I'd love the '21-'22 squad to have a dude who can come off the bench and drill 3's.

We are now in the dreaming stage .  Would love to sign Kendall.

The bolded is correct. The first part has absolutely nothing to do with the second. If those three would dissuade Baldwin from coming, we are winning a national championship in 2022.

Trejuan Holloman is one to keep an eye on in MN now that we have Garcia. He is a 2021 pg that we offered early.....I think they are buds but JB might now for sure.

Holloman and Kendall Brown would be phenomenal gets for 2021, and I believe both have ties to Garcia. (EDIT: Holloman is 2022)

I just have to take a second to talk about this class. It's like a buzz switchable class, but this time 6'7" and taller. And a lot more shooting.

Dawson is...well, an absolute matchup nightmare. Anyone with speed to guard him is likely too small. Anyone with size to guard him is likely too slow. He is going to be so much fun to watch. Instincts are insane and he can hurt opponents in so many ways

Oso is going to be a finesse version of Dawson. He has beautiful hooks, a nice jumper and a great first step. Once the game slows down at college, he is going to be so much fun as a "switchable" that can terrorize SFs and PFs that can't keep up.

Justin is like if Theo played the 3 and had a jumper. Dude is hard-nosed, a terror on the boards, and will absolutely take advantage of you if you sleep on him (and let you know about it). The most blue collar, built dude in this class so far. He makes a lot of people better just for being on the court with him. Glue guy feels like a complete understatement.

I love this class so far. This is gonna be FUN.
