So it would appear Wojo's focus has really narrowed to Davis, Garcia, Hoggard and Mane(the Canadian kid). To this point, those are really the only names we keep hearing or have set up visits. It makes you wonder if he feels really good about landing at least two of them. I hope it doesn't come to this, but it would be interesting to see who his pivots are if all of them say no. Particularly the guards...they definitely need some Guards in this class.

.

You can "take" the cute chick right now because she wants you and is ready to commit, but that possibly takes you out of the running for the hot chick. However, if you wait until the hot chick is ready to commit, you might end up getting exactly what you want, and if you don't ultimately end up with her, what have you lost?? There's other "cute" chicks that would commit to you. Or, you could just stay single for awhile, wait things out and perhaps land another "hot" chick later on after she breaks up with her previous boyfriend. Seems like a no brainer to me, but...of course no one would agree with me, because well...that would go against everything anyone believes in even though the analogy is 100% SPOT on.  ;)

I'd take both the hottie and the cutie.....at the same time.

Could get by with 1 guard in this class.  McEwen, Elliott, Torrence and Akanno will return.

AJ Hoggard is another player that they have coveted, and he is expected to visit Marquette this week. Michigan State is the program that is in the best spot for the Rivals150 guard.

Thanks for the interest post, Mark.

Since recruits obviously talk to each program's players when making their visits, I wonder if Hoggard spent any time with Joey on his MSU visit this past weekend and what Joey might have told him. Obviously, it's not a love-fest between the Hausers and Marquette these days. For that matter, it wouldn't be unusual for Izzo or one of the other MSU coaches to say something like, "We have Joey Hauser here because he and his brother didn't like playing at Marquette."

I think it's probably a good thing that Wojo & Co. get to make their pitch in Milwaukee after Hoggard already finished up at East Lansing.

Wasn't the story that joeys issue was with MH? If so that seems like an easy rebuttal

Good point ... although some of the Hauser folks on Scoop say the problem wasn't with Markus as much as it was with Wojo's inability to rein in Markus.

Anyway, kids talk -- and so do coaches -- so here's hoping the negative recruiting doesn't sway him.

Well, at least it wasn't enough to keep him from making his official visit.

Perfect time to show "The Letter"  ;D

But in all seriousness, looking forward to the feedback related to his visit. I didn't realize we "coveted" Hoggard as much as Corey Evans seems to think.

I believe sophomore year they were. But my understanding is Sam was living with Joey this past year?

Are we sure Hoggard is on board with the Osa commitment or would he have preferred to wait.

I haven't been tracking him closely at all, but I find it interesting that MSU is the apparent leader but already have a commitment from '20 PG Jalen Terry.

And they have Rockett Watts as a freshman.  Interesting indeed.

Marquette is his 4th official visit. His 5th is at Florida on Sept 21st.
His others were providence, MSU, and Ole Miss. Wonder if he’ll be making a decision in the next few weeks.

Interesting. Seems we have been trying for this visit for a while. Glad we got it. MSU seems to be the one to beat. I like our chances for the opportunity we can give.

So wanting to see where everyone stands...assuming they would only take one of Hoggard or Davis, who do people here prefer?? It's close for me, maybe a slight lean to Davis, but either one is fine with me.

I'm of the opinion that the vast majority of us - if not all of us - have not seen anywhere close to enough of either player to have  an informed opinion.
