If I were a coach going against Wojo for a recruit, I absolutely would bring up that he couldn't keep the Hausers, and I'd give my theory why (and I'd embellish it to make it seem even worse).

That's a completely separate issue from an actual recruit saying what Symir said.

Yes because as we saw by this years final 4 the only way to have success is to go all out for 5 stars......


We already have 1 top 50 player committed........if we don't get Suggs we will be one of many who tried and failed.......including blue bloods.

Focus on who you get.........you are always going to miss on more players then you get.

But everybody knows that......or should.....

We could have had Bennett, but we rushed to get Buzz....you know this is true.  But we weren't willing to wait.  He wanted the job late, but we had pulled the trigger that day.  In terms of Coach Cal...please.   How many vacant titles.   Coach Wright, Nova fans wanted him fired....they kept with him and were patient.  Imagine a MU fan base patient....let me know when that happens. Never seen while I have been watching.

We could have had Bennett and I was one of those who wanted to play out that string. Buzz really outsmarted Cottingham in that episode. Say what you will but The Hillbilly is far more clever than most of humanity.

I find it hilarious to read the various conspiracy theories postulated by Scoopers regarding Tony Bennett's interest in the Marquette job. He most definitely wanted it in '08.
