Is the expectation he plays at Milwaukee?

I would think he either plays there or goes to a blue blood...or the next level down.  Politically Marquette is a non-starter I would think.

Traditional transfer.  Three years of eligibility left though.

"If we finish off this recruiting class on a high note and have another good year next year, with one 2018 already signed up (Bailey) we may be on the verge of a new era of sustained basketball success which would be known to all as the Golden Eagles era." - Herman Cain

Maybe we offer a home and home to UWM as an olive branch for Baldwin   :)

There goes a year of eligibility.

The Kostas news is laugh out loud funny. Also great news on the other transfers. unnatural carnal knowledge Dayton.

It's very fortunate that when Marquette and the other NBEast members went begging to join the A-10 that they turned us down, because they were stable and in a position of leverage, otherwise we wouldn't be able to go after these guys, being intra-conference and all.

Tip of the hat to Flyer18, or whatever that guy's name was.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Said he was going to pursue a basketball professionally.  Eligibility a moot point.  Guess he's headed to Greece.

Anthony Grant, jeez, I remember when he was a candidate for MU job back in what, 2009.  Was rising star assistant at Florida and then went to Bama.  Time flies.

He was head coach at VCU first. Post-Capel. Pre-Shaka.

I would be good with that IF a second scholly opened.

With the Frohling announcement I've updated the chart.  I suspect Wojo will approach this two different ways: 1) a traditional transfer that will sit out a year and, 2) a guard that will see significant minutes immediately.  I think the latter is most likely a grad transfer rather than a new Frosh assuming Wojo finds what he likes.

I do think the two vacant scholarships are linked to a certain extent because a solid grad transfer stopgap could be immediately replaced the following season by the next AR30 type kid.

Ideal situation IMHO

This really has to open up the traditional transfer option for #2.  And we have a fantastic recent example with this.  The kid to emulate just completed his college career and his picture is right over <<<<<<.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

If I were Wojo I would go:

1. Grad transfer PG
2. Best player available

If the traditional transfer is a point guard, I'd personally prefer a high level freshman in 2019 (Carton) to balance the classes a little and provide some long term stability.  I fear that if we take a PG transfer who will be eligible in 2019 that may scare away a top level PG looking to get minutes right awat. Tough call for Wojo as the transfer market will be done with by the time most 2019 recruits commit.

While I agree, there's the bird in the hand theory. I guess it depends on the guy and how many years he brings. Cross those bridges when we come to them.
