3rd place doesn't feel great but what can you do? Coaching staff went all out.

We'll be ready when to pick Grimes up on the rebound when KU gets hit with the FBI probe  ;D

Not sure it was 3rd but if its not 1st who cares. I applaud the staff for going all out for him. It was worth a shot. we have a great story for the right recruit at PG either for 2018 (Ramey or unknown spring PG grad transfer etc....) and for the 2019 class.

I asked Bill Self tonight about Grimes, told him KU has enough stars, MU needs some. He laughed, said he doesn't know yet.

Self is sneaky tall, he's legit 6'5". Didn't realize that before.

Without, he's a big dude!

I was with Mich St briefly in Chicago tonight, then with KU for a couple hours. KU travels in style, it was impressive to say the least.

Egor Koulechov showed in his debut for Fla why MU wanted him. Incredibly pure shooting stroke.

Yeah that would have been neat. Can't say I blame him for going to Florida though.

Would have been a much better version of Reinhardt, who ended up having a very good BEast season for us. Sucks, because I feel like Reinhardt's skill set is what we'll miss the most this year.

Does he have a handle even close to Reinhardt's?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Can't imagine seeing him getting a load of minutes next year, based on watching UK so far this year, they will have a ton of players coming back

With some teams holding out players due to "internal investigations" (one would assume for similar issues that the FBI probe has found), does anybody else find it odd that Billy Preston was suspended for Kansas's first game due to "missing curfew" and now is suspended for being involved in a single car accident that resulted in damage to his car, and will continue to be suspended until "the investigation is complete?"  Let's keep in mind, Josh Jackson kicked in a girl's car outside of a bar last year for Kansas and didn't miss a game.  Something doesn't add up here...

"Shortly before Kansas's game against Kentucky, the team announced that freshman forward Billy Preston would not play due to his involvement in a single-vehicle car crash with no injuries, which the administration is investigating for "a clearer financial picture specific to the vehicle.""

I did notice that. I will be watching KU and the FBI probe all year. We might be able to pick up Grimes on the rebound.

Yes he did. Their first game of the B12 tournament. They lost a close one to TCU.

From what I understand that suspension was for not telling Self he had gotten into a car accident.

Doesn't add up. Why would you get suspended for not telling a coach about an accident that caused no injuries?

Reading the tea leaves (until Big Daddy tells us otherwise), I presume that ship has sailed.  Maybe not bad blood exactly, but no love lost it seems.  Must have been a weird on campus visit.

I don't think so. I think it was a weird in home visit with KU after the on campus visit.

But you might be right about the ship sailing. Don't know.

The reports are saying that the Preston suspension/investigation is about something re getting a "clearer financial picture" with respect to the car. Perhaps they are keeping him out so they don't vacate any victories by having an ineligible player (even though they probably know exactly how he got the car and they are spinning it as hard as they can).

Is it possible that the relationship with Grimes went bad because one of his "people" raised the issue of $$?
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)
