I'd be down with some ODB, but my vote is for Dog S**t.

I'm fascinated that ODB has gotten 3 votes.... totally surprising to me.

Ram Jam - Black Betty

now you're talking.

You know who else likes Black Betty (besides ZFB)?  Strippers.  Strippers love dancing to Black Betty.  Trust me, I'm a talent scout.

If we went to the Bradley Center for a stripper show, I'd be more than happy to have this song played.

It is physically impossible to not start tapping your feet or banging your fist on something when Black Betty comes on. It's science.

Also one of the best music videos ever. It looks like it was filmed in my Grandma's back yard. Check this.

The odds of you having a mullet at some point in your life, have greatly increased after the statement above.

Nah, no mullet, but I could see how you might make that connection. That post is certainly mullet material.

Keep in mind I'm also the guy that referenced an obscure Wu-Tang song in this same thread. I'm complex man.

Mullet doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing.  If you had one, I would give you ultimate props.

Although, now that I think about it...... Triumph would be a great song to come out to.  Complexity is a virtue of mine, especially when I go classical on yo azzes.

Triumph may be the best rap song of all time.

I just found common ground with MikeDeanesDarkGlasses... it may be time to quit the internet.

Inspectah Deck's verse is legendary.  Legendary!

As the GZA wisely asked
"How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?"

Liquid Swords - Best Album to Come from the Wu Tang tree, ever.

I was watching the Blackhawks/Wild game last night and noticed that the United Center played the intro to "Where The Streets Have No Name" right before the shootout started. Are we not as out of date as we thought, or are the Blackhawks just as out of date as we are? (Note: they do use "Stranglehold" as their opening music, which I have to admit I love.)

Here is a list of tracks fans are "most likely to hear" at a Hawks game. No mention of U2 on the list. Lots of variety, which I like. Traditionally, the Hawks played "Wipeout" by the Surfaris if they went up by three goals. They no longer do that.

The Hawks List could really benefit from some punk.

How about a little something off of Blackout?

Agreed, though, that Liquid Swords was sick. I'm always be a 36 Chambers guy, though.

Dear Athletic Department

Get something uniquely Marquette -
Hire someone and have an intro that truly ignites the crowd.  There's a musician there named Greg Koch and he is an amazing guitar guy who can write.  I am sure there are others.  We need something to call our own.
Start a new tradition.

Yours Truly,

Greg Koch

Not bad, Deane'sGlasses.  I don't even remember metroid for SNES.  Liven it up to 2014 standards and it could work

Whaaaa?  Super Metroid was the definitive metroid.

Oddly enough, there is an updated version that sounds pretty cool, although I don't think it would be right for entrance music.

Always loved this one, but it's always over way too quickly. We'd need to do some quick intros.

Doubt they change streets. The thing they do change each year is the music directly after the player intros. Cant remember this years or last years specifically but I know for Jae's and DJO's senior year it was Ni***s in Paris. Which because of that is now one of my favorite songs.

I attended a game this January and Streets was not played during the intro. I was thrilled. The song that replaced it was not memorable and thus an improvement. MU must kill off Streets forever. Don't half ass this, Marquette. I already have my hopes up that I never have to associate MUBB w/ terrible music again.

Whoa, pump the brakes buddy. I agree that Streets should be replaced, but it's not "terrible music".

We're talking about a U2 classic here, not Snow's informer or Gerardo's Rico Suave.

This may be outside the box (especially for a first post), but I think Ironside by Quincy Jones (aka the song with the siren from Kill Bill) would be unique to Marquette, get the crowd fired up, have a nice retro feel.  You'd have to chop out some of the parts (particularly the flute solo), but considering how chopped up Streets is on the intro, I don't that's an issue.
