MU Entrance Music - U2 ? Or is it time for a change?

I was watching the Blackhawks/Wild game last night and noticed that the United Center played the intro to "Where The Streets Have No Name" right before the shootout started. Are we not as out of date as we thought, or are the Blackhawks just as out of date as we are? (Note: they do use "Stranglehold" as their opening music, which I have to admit I love.)

I love the Blackhawks intro -- especially with "Straglehold" preceded by the opening riff of Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People" when they take the ice.

Speaking of which, I'd redo the legends video before messing with Streets.  That "Remember the Titans" music is feeling a little tired and sappy.  If you haven't seen it, the Blackhawks "Orchard" video makes good use of old radio calls and a more obscure but fitting soundtrack song ("The Might of Rome" from "Gladiator").

This is the Vikings intro song, so Packer-backers may not be too fond of that, but I tell ya what.  I went to the Vikes-Cowboys playoff game a few years back (I love Favre) and when this song came on, I was so hype that I wanted run out on to the field and hit somebody.

Crunk Music - To be honest, I think the administration wants to stay as far away from this type of music as possible.  Wojo has a clean image and crunk doesn't jive with it at all.  To me it isn't inspirational nor does it get everyone hyped to run out on to the court and throw down a 360 dunk. 

Led Zeppelin - An all time classic, but MU needs to come up with something fresh.  Something that isn't 70's or 80's for sure unless it's some sort of soundtrack to a movie that is powerful, but not used.

How about Cypress Hill ? 

This song hits hard and basically says to the opposing team that you're not going home without several bruises, at least.

Here's something that's more of a "get the WHOLE crowd hyped" intro.  I think it caters to all ages and will definitely appeal to female segment of the crowd.

It gradually builds for the first minute then hits.  It could be edited with "Wojo's Warriors" at the point where it says:  Barbara Streisand.

It's definitely a step in the right direction.  There are parts of the song I like, unfortunately, it's not made to sound like an anthem with the build  up in the beginning.  If I was more musically inclined, I'd tweak the song and I think we would be close!  But yes, I'm all for the electronic route.
