The Wojo Era is just beginning.  In order to represent this, do you want MU's entrance music changed from U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name to something new?  If so, what do you envision?

Definitely time for a change. That U2 song has run its course. Turn the page.

Out with U2 and in with the new. Let the players choose the music.

After the last 10 days, how about 'Call me, maybe'.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

I haven't been to a game at the Bradley Center in a long time, have to catch all my in person games on the road. They are still using that? That started in 02-03 if not earlier.

Let the players choose the music.

Are you sure you want to go with that?  I am not certain the players would pick something that would necessarily connect with the fans.
Have some patience, FFS.

Dear Athletic Department

Get something uniquely Marquette -
Hire someone and have an intro that truly ignites the crowd.  There's a musician there named Greg Koch and he is an amazing guitar guy who can write.  I am sure there are others.  We need something to call our own.
Start a new tradition.

Yup; time for the players to choose.

Howerver I do love the Heat intro music with "In the air tonight"

After leading the charge to get Streets back into the intro music after the Flatboy Slim debacle, I do not know what to think of you people.

Wanna win?  Then we need to pray before the alter of the Based God before each game.

Yep - ND already tried that... results were not mixed.

Yeah, we are way overdue for a change.  That song is ancient and reinforces the image of Milwaukee being outdated.  This should be Wojo's #1 priority for next season.  Attention to detail!

This has potential:
The XX-- Intro

Probably not recognizable enough for the general public, but I always run a little faster/feel a little better when it comes on during my workout.

Aarrrgh, eff it-- I obviously don't know how to embed the youtube vid, but I'm too busy to fix it-- just follow the link.

EnderWiggen

Love me some XX, but they don't exactly hype me up, imo

Eldon

DMX always hyped me up.  I think what we should do is hire him to lead the team out of the tunnel and then run around on the court screaming "what" and barking to an upbeat, thumping baseline.  "We-are" "What?!? "Marquette" "What?!? "We-are" "What?!?" "Marquette" "What?!?"  <loud cheers and applause>

Every game will also function as a mini DMX concert.  I know we already spend a lot on basketball, but I doubt spending $12 more dollars per game to get DMX is going to break the bank.

A few years back I advocated "Uprising" by Muse as a good intro song for the player introductions.  Maybe it's a bit stale now but I still think it would be awesome.

swimmer

Yeah, after listening to it again I thought it might be too mellow for a basketball crowd.  Still love it for running/spinning.  It just makes you feel good.

I'm not a U2 fan, but I still get chills every time I hear Streets. It's MUBB to me.

Maybe, but the lyrics work pretty well too.  "They will not control us!  We will be victorious!"
