He fought in World War II....for Germany.  (Not kidding.)

Not only was Ernie a former "Nazi Intelligence Officer" but Dick Strong is a friend and, as a result, Strong is under attack from the Jewish-controlled SEC!

Remember that being on 60 minutes. He was studying with Marva Collins, I believe her name was. She was an icon on the South Side. As she and Mike Wallace walked down the blighted street where she lived, Mike asked her if more money was needed in the neighborhood. She replied that the government had already spent billions in this neighborhood with nothing to show for it.

That is what government does.

Can we get some hot photos of women in the SEC enforcement division with that post, please.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Menards is in like 15 states now - as far West as Casper Wyoming and as far South as Louisville.  Unfortunately, the famous white-haired "MENARDS!" guy is now dead.

I don't know if Stubby Heiser is still around, but I believe Ernie Von Schledorn is still alive.  Who do you know wants to buy a car?

I believe we lost Ernie late last year.

Man, the Ernie commercials are from back in the 60's and 70's. Can't believe you were around then, Warriorchick. Please do not date yourself.

That's Mike Anderson. He was a crew dog on the Columbia Shuttle mishap. I didn't know him but there is a memorial to him in the Physics Building at U Dub. I am guessing he was stationed at Offutt and did some grad work at Creighton.

The Command Pilot for that ill-fated mission was a buddy of mine, Willie McCool. One of the finest aviators, officers, athletes, and all-around great guys to ever serve this Republic.
That tan colored missile looks like a phallic symbol, so I guess he is the resident porn star.

The Ernie commercials may have started in the 60s, but they were still playing them in the 80s. Maybe even later.

Ran into the Menards guy way up north coming back from Canada one year.  He ran that town. Counted it as a celebrity encounter.

That's replacement Ernie.  Similar to the ultimate warrior.  They sneak em in on you.

I can't say that I'm comfortable with you using someone who died for this country in the Columbia Shuttle disaster as a butt of a joke.

Can't believe I hadn't posted this earlier.  Milwaukee's own, Larry House.  Now that I think about it, he would have been a great Buzz-type player.  Juco, 6-4 slash-switchable-type player.

After reading this thread (classic thread de-rail, btw), I also can't believe that we've discussed "dirty Ernie" multiple times on Scoop (there is a thread where I mentioned him, and I thought it was this one but I guess not).

Anyone remember Bruce Pearl doing commercials for EVS?  Dirty Ern is dirty indeed.

CAINMUTINY

I worked for Mark (Walter) when I was at Guggenheim.  Super good dude.

Boozemon Barro

Pat Venditte, the ambidextrous pitcher for the A's. That's some good bang for your buck for a bullpen guy.
