What is this all about?

"According to local news, a male sophomore Marquette athlete is likely to be charged with assaulting a couple of police officers last evening.  Although he was reported to have an excuse (says he was under the influence of acid) it sounds like he will likely be charged, which means he might miss a game or so.  He might be a basketball player.  Of course it is possible that he might be a soccer or baseball player.  Or even a golfer...."

Well, duh.   What else do they have to look forward to?    The rantings of a paranoid fanbase that knows deep in their hearts that the only thing that can stop a complete MU ascendancy in hoops as long as Buzz is at MU is off-court issues.      Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, BADger fans have to hope MU hoopers f up.   And if they don't, the buckyboard will invent something.

My money's on it being a baseball player.

Nice brainstorming by them though, being the only B1G school without a baseball team.

They should be more concerned with finding a QB who knows how to stop the clock. Boy, what a tough loss...that one had to hurt. Such a shame.

From the stories I've heard as a student, it was one of the Lax Bros. Could face a maximum of 15 years in prison and 50,000  dollar fine. Nice legacy you've left here at Marquette. How can kids be this dumb?

MUBillsTil2017

It was a guy on the Lax team.  Was hopped up on speed/acid, some pill after a concert is the story I've heard.  Considering my source knows the guy, I take it as the truth.

That sucks. I'm glad I never got in trouble for the stupid crap I did in college.

Of course, I never assaulted a cop.

Of course, you aren't a bro enough to be a LAX bro and assault a cop.

I have heard some unfortunate things about the newest athletes on campus, this report notwithstanding.

MUBillsTil2017

This guy wasn't a new stu-athlete on campus, I heard he was a junior and a likable guy.   I wonder if he remembers any of the events that got him in jail?

Pretty sure he was referencing LAX in general.

Great, now I have to start worrying.

EDIT: If this is about LAX bros, yeah they are freaking nuts. They are doing some of the strangest drugs I've seen.

PRN, where've you been?  Haven't seen you around here for awhile.

So if it was a bball player people would be calling for Buzz's head.  Is the LAX coach gonna get in trouble for this?  Is Larry on the way out for allowing it to happen?

marquette20

I've heard they wanted to shut down the LAX program because all the stuff they do.

Well, it's pretty bad if new recruits are problematic (I have no evidence that they are), and those same recruits aren't exactly great at their craft. The LAX recruiting class wasn't exactly dynomite...

Well shucks, looks like I'm going to do some interrogations over the weekend to find out whats going on.  The guys have their own house off campus and I have heard they do party hard there.  The women aren't allowed by their coach to have off campus digs.

Nobody would be calling for Buzz's head.
Nobody called for Buzz's head with far more serious allegations a few years back, and they sure wouldn't do so because a kid got messed up and took a swing at a cop.
