The kansas bias by some of these voters is insane. They drop from 6 to 7 after a complete blowout loss to then unranked Iowa st. Then this week they drop from 7 to 9 after losing to.sub 500 WVU. They should be around 15 tbh

That other ranked team - Marquette Women's Basketball continues to set program records as they moved up to #10 in the AP poll this week.  That's the highest a BE Women's team has been ranked since conference realignment.  It's great to see both programs doing so well.  Go Marquette!

Was skimming the article and it said that was the biggest jump. Must have misread.

Went back to make sure I wasn't losing it and it does not mention Maryland as a biggest mover. Maybe Seth Davis bumped them up a bunch at the last minute when he realized they beat his #15 team.

What makes even less sense is that he doesn't even follow kenpom exactly.  If his position was that kenpom is the perfect ranking system, I would disagree, but would at least understand his reasoning, but Kenpom has Nevada 19th and Newell put them 15th (other examples too, Nevada is just the largest one).  It's like he starts with kenpom, then just makes tweaks here and there.  Very weird.

Most of this poll stuff is utter nonsense in terms of where we're seeded and how we're treated by the NCAA.

That said, I'm absolutely delighted the guys are getting some well-deserved recognition. The rebuild of our program following the absurd and bizarre "Last Days of the Hillbilly" is largely complete. Coach Wojo has our dudes playing defense and the team is well-balanced and fits with what both the Coach and the University want of it.

Not yet are we among the elite of college basketball. But we're showing that we are moving in that direction and we're closing. The challenge now is to play as if we are a truly elite team.
