Yes Maryland losing and anyother teams directly behind us will only help as well, as many if those teams are receiving votes ahead of us.  Hopefully Auburn goes down next.  While unimportant a top 10 ranking is great for the fanbase and the players too.  Hopefully also allows the elite recruits to consider us moreso that they have in the past during this rebuild.

Kansas has been stumbling, could see them falling.  But then they beat us so that may sway some voters to vote them ahead of us

You gotta know the Tennessee people are laughing their arses off on Texas dumping a great, proven coach for The Shaka Mystique (not to mention for Mrs. Shaka).

As for our ranking on Monday ...

Hard to imagine Kansas falling below us -- I know if I were a voter, I wouldn't put 'em below us. And given other results, I think we just stay at 12. Maybe sneak up to 11.

How dumb can Texas be? Barnes went to 17 straight NCAA tournaments and then was canned the one year he missed. Also, we need to be thankful for Shaka saying no. Love the guy we got.

In defense of Texas, he did lose to a lower seed in 9 of those 17 years, and has a NCAA record below .500.  I don't think it was the right move, and I think Shaka is a downgrade, but it wasn't the most outrageous separation out there.  To a lot of people, tourney record is all that matters.

Nothing official. But people here have been mentioning Texas, I was thinking more along the lines of TAMU.

Down year this year, could potentially be in the market for a new coach. If you see a bunch of Buzz's Bunch stuff coming out, or one of his cronies in the media starting to mention things, well when there's smoke...

I think we get up to 10, but don't think we'll pass MSU. Honestly, I don't think they should even drop from 6. They are clearly better than Nevada at 7.

Nevada can stay ranked in the top 10 all they want. Everyone knows they are fools gold. They remind me alot of the 2005-06 George Washington Colonials. They were 26-2 going into the ncaa tournament and received a 8 seed. While I feel Nevada does have a good team they are no way a top 10 team and If i had to guess will max out as a 5 seed.
