UW on upset alert. Bassey shutting down Happ. Go Hilltoppers. Paying their players may pay off today.

brewcity77

Under 10 to play, Wisconsin has been back and forth at Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers just opened up their largest lead of the game at 63-55. Charles Bassey is a man, but they're getting contributions all over the court.

I think Gard May be gone after this season.

I doubt it. Top half Big 10 finish and they'll be dancing. But glad to see Bucky go down. We're up to 16 at worst.

Alvarez is a competitive guy and he can see they are not recruiting the talent necessary to compete. So I think it is possible they make go in a different direction.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Always good to see Bucky go down, especially when it clears out space for us to move up in the rankings. They deserved this loss after how they beat Western Kentucky last season.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

If Barry cared about basketball he wouldn't have caved into WKU's demand that in order to play at Camp Randall they needed a home and home in basketball in return.

I don't bet, but if I did that would want some of that action.

They might be on his list until the end, but I'll be shocked if he picks UW-M.
+100. Especially since Gard is apparently on the way out after this year. 😉

He's a 1 and done no matter where he goes, but if he wants a shot at a National title in his 1 year of college play he's going to Duke. I'd be shocked if he doesn't pick Duke. Same with Pat Baldwin Jr. in 2021. Wisconsin has been underrated in terms of the amount of top 10 prospects they've developed in the last few years and next few years. Right now 2 of the top 3 in 2021 in the whole country (Baldwin, Foster) are from WI which I find crazy. Very early and silly to think about it but Tayshawn Bridges is in contention to be #1 player in the class of 2024 according to every website, but like I said it's silly to rank middle schoolers when so much could change.

I was supposed to root for F%cky because it would be better for our NET rating, right?

Well sorry, but I can't. And I didn't. And I won't.

It will nice to see them plummet below us in the rankings. We're 16 minimum.

I'd like to see Seton Hall get a little love from the voters.

What would Bucky be today without the Bo recruit Ethan Happ?  What does a pure "Gard team" look like next year?

Johnson goes to a blue blood, or the top 10 team in WI next year, MU.

Remember Diamond Stone was with the Badgers until the end, how did that work out?

I think they'd be about the same with or without Ian Happ.

(Off thread)
I remember when Stone and Ellenson came out of High School. They were "all that" and with family's that managed their ascent. Where are they now (see wiki)? Perhaps it's a function of their large power forward frames...out of vogue in the Giannis/Curry NBA (Lebron notwithstanding). But a bit of humble pie for both. At least they each got a decent paycheck to begin.

Sadly we will be 20 tomorrow.

Look at it this way: we beat the badgers, they lost to an u ranked team yesterday so CLEARLY they are not top 15 type team so that's against us.
We beat Kstate who lost some games. So they are like 150th or something.
And Louisville lost last night to Kentucky. So they also stink because apparently any loss to anyone means you suck. So we will move back spots cause our wins are not that good!

Right last week at 18......Will be right this week at 16......

We could squeak into 15.....But I will give us the biased East Coast /ACC non votes to make us a little short.....
