Too lazy to scroll back but is anyone watching Landman? I'm hooked.

The first Taylor Sheridan show with a sense of humor.

During the pandemic .. my kids were home as well, and we burned through Lost's 120 episodes .. it kept our attention.

Lots of interlocking MU logo appearances on the current season of Oak Island.

The way things are going, I am surprised they found one.

Watched Conclave on Peacock. Progressive open-minded Catholics will probably enjoy it, traditional Catholics not so much.

I thought part of it was fine but then it went over the top soap opera the final third or so.  I mean, very soap opera

The S2 premiere of Severance is up. That's been a loooooong wait. It's a good episode that answers a few questions, prompts many more, and sets up the new season.

I 100% have to rewatch S1

3 years is insane haha.

I know I loved it though and I remember the idea of the cliff hanger. That's about it.

My daughter and I rewatched S1 in anticipation of the new season. It really is a great show. I think some philospohy/ethics professor needs to develop a class focused on the show -- or at least a chapter in a book. There really is a lot there.

Its gotten so much more campy and over the top now that they have budget and success...and its amazing.  Might be Alan Cumming's best work ever.

He's amazing.

The challenges are still a weak spot, but I do like that they have put a little more weight into them this season. Progress.

I just love the mix of reality personalities with gamers and then seeing surprises that don't really fit in either bucket emerge. Like discount Efron.

Captain Quette

Likely been discussed by my top 5, not in order

1. True detective
2. Terminal lost
3. Outer range
4. Jack Ryan
5. Slow horses

Really enjoy the strong acting in each of these plus story lines that go in unpredictable directions.

Watched Gladiator II on Paramount+. The CGI baboons were pretty cool otherwise the movie was OK but not equal with the original. it's almost 2.5 hours long and could have been a bit shorter.

Currently watching True Detective for the first time. I'll be honest,  I struggled to get through the first two seasons. "Bad people make good cops" just wasnt doing it for me. I know most people loved MM as Rust Cohle but i found most of his nihlism to be over the top. I also picked out the killer the second he was introduced.

But I'm currently in the middle of season 3 and got damn it is great television. If it sticks the landing it will be one of my favorite seasons of TV ever

I saw it in the theater and thought it could be 2.5 hours shorter.

Haven't seen Gladiator II yet, but I will because I'm an American man over the age of 35.  That being said, Ridley Scott has evidently gotten to the point where he's beyond editing, and we're all worse for it.  At 2:28, GII was the shortest movie he's made in 8 years. I probably will never see House of Gucci, by Napoleon and The Last Duel were the kind of thing I want from Ridley Scott, and while I don't expect greatness, a little more quality over quantity would be nice.

American Primeval on Netflix is an entertaining watch, but my god it is brutal.  Peter Berg had no interest in a rosy, fond look back at what was decidedly not a pleasant time in the American West.

Watching for the first time this season and it's both stupid and fun as heck. As all good reality TV should be.

Captain Quette

TAMU - season 4 of true detective a good one. Lead role is well played that season.

Will have to check out Traitors.

Was on history kick and watched a movie called Munich, about mossad hunting Olympic terrorists. Perhaps one of the biggest movie let downs ever for me. Awful.

Just finished outer range.

Generally really enjoy sci-fi genre stuff.

That show was a f'ing mess. It was brutally obvious that show runners changed from S1 to S2.

Sad it couldn't have wrapped up. I would have liked more answers.

I just saw a TV ad for ZipRecruiter that had a tie-in to Severance.

WTF?

Have some patience, FFS.

I just got done watching The Agency on Showtime. For a spy series, it is the polar opposite of Night Agent. The storylines are all much better, but it is the characters that stand out. Michael Fassbender is outstanding and conveys the moral ambiguity that these guys face in their line of work.

But you are right about Night Agent and I will end up watching it. Just don't expect surprises - you can spot them all from a mile away.
