Sacar handled the PG duties that game.
I did not say otherwise, just that Sam handled the basketball a lot in that game. Which he did.If it's your contention that Sacar had the ball in that game as much as Kolek does for this year's team, that's not how I remember it. But I could be misremembering.
Dodds said Joey and Sam were so talented they could be great PG's.
If he said that, that's just dopey.
First 2 1/2 minutes of the second half, Joey's man gets 3 offensive boards for Michigan. Joey then bricks an open 3. And ... it's time to take a seat on the bench.
Back in the game, Joey hits a 3 and then runs the floor nicely to finish a break with a layup. Gets a nice cheer, as he should.More importantly ... Michigan looks like complete shyte and is probably the most underachieving team in college basketball.
Ya....what happened to that program and Juwan H?
After getting back into the game, Joey hit a couple of 3s, helped break the press, battled Dickinson down low pretty well, and helped Sparty make sure Michigan wouldn't come back.I don't watch a ton of MSU hoops but I do see some, and this was the best game I've seen him have in at least a year. I imagine the twitterverse will be more kind to him after this one.
MU82–did you say you are not infatuated with Joey Hauser?
Joey got some love from Sparty Fans today''It brought a tear to my eye to hear the crowd chanting Joey Hauser,'' Izzo said.
sure did: "With Michigan State’s lead approaching 20 points and under four minutes remaining, Spartans fans chanted, “Joe-y! Joe-y!” after the junior dove to deflect a post-entry pass to Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson, forcing a jump ball."
So he’s reached Don Smolinski level of fan appreciation?
There's a blast from the past!
That wasn't that long ago!People that saw him play in person are not old! Now, get off my lawn and turn down that blasted music!!!! The Smo! chants were a sure sign things were well in hand and the good guys would win.

I still think Sam will have an NBA career in which he makes real money. But even if not, he can play overseas and earn serious bread for a decade or more. He is elite at one thing that few are.
