Quote from: WhiteTrash on August 14, 2026, 12:16:17 PMI was just being funny. You were the one who pointed out he was dealing "external issues". The external issue is a list of felonies that could result in life in prison. Not a very common "external issue" and slightly different than drugs, domestic abuse, DUI, etc.

I never said he was going to jail. I guess I could have said facing potential life in prison, but I didn't think anyone would examine my words on a flippant remark.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the signing. If he is not guilty, he deserves to play football or any career he wishes.

His sentence will be commuted and he'll be forced to play his entire career with the Browns

It's all good. Sometimes sarcasm doesn't come out in posts.

I've always been a big believer that most people deserve second chances, though I admit that I haven't followed Arnold's case closely. As always, the U.S. justice system (and NFL's justice system) will say a lot about whether he plays so much as one down for the Seahawks.

I don't even know if Arnold was any good during his two seasons with the Lions, though I have learned to trust the personnel decisions of John Schneider and Mike Macdonald.

Thanks for your perspective, Tower.

Schneider and Macdonald haven't been perfect with their personnel decisions, but they've been darn good. So I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with any Seahawks acquisition, including this one. If he ever plays a down in Seattle, that is.

Detroit brought in a lot of secondary help prior to Arnold's escapade.  This was considered a make or break season, as his first two had been marked by injuries and mediocre play.

Seahawks make Devon Witherspoon the highest-paid CB ever.

Bagent is the second best QB in the NFCN. And Case Keenum might be 4th.

When they play in Bears weather, no one in the league is better than any Bears QB

Global warming is why their quarterback play has been suffering.

Hammond weather will not help that.
