Someone turned in front of him.

Public records from the California Crash Reporting System, a statewide database of collisions, show the accident occurred at 6:12 p.m. PT at Alma Street and Hamilton Avenue after a 21-year-old woman made an unsafe turn while driving a Mercedes SUV in the opposite direction on a four-lane, 25-mph street

Shanahan in a coma could beat a Matt LaFleur team in the playoffs

On the other hand ... from The Athletic:

Shanahan clarifies key detail on car accident
Kyle Shanahan had a group of reporters in his office to clear up the circumstances of his July 14 car crash. One key detail that was mishandled in a state database — it was Shanahan who crossed into oncoming traffic not the 21-year old driver of the other car.

Shanahan said his cell phone slid off his lap and he went to retrieve it. As he came back up the airbag had deployed, breaking his nose. He said he remembered the crash clearly and never lost consciousness. More details to come.

Rough start for the Bears.

@AdamSchefter
Bears safety Coby Bryant is expected to be sidelined 8-10 weeks due to a hyperextended knee, bone bruise and small fracture that he suffered at today's practice, per sources. No surgery is expected to be needed.

Good player. I wanted the Seahawks to keep him, and thought the Bears made a good signing. Hopefully he really won't need surgery and returns fully healthy for the second half of the season.

This would just be a typical Monday for the Lions. Next man up.

Difference is this safety didn't have karma waiting for him after trying to injure the opposite receivers.

Good luck to Atlanta with $22.5M of cap space on a RB. Yes, he's the best in the NFL and should be the highest paid RB, but that's too much on that position. Just one man's opinion.
