Stop it.  No he wasn't.  He made a layup and hit the 2nd 3 he's hit in a month...LITERALLY.  He also got MASSIVELY bailed out by OG on the corner 3 to cut it to 4 with 4 min left.  He threw a bounce pass to OG's f'ing feet that completely killed the advantage on the ball rotation, but OG is playing out of his mind so he still made it happen.

Castle was still playing his ass off in the 4th, Mitch Johnson is just too myopic to go to anyone other than Wemby or Fox in critical moments.  I don't think there is ANYONE who expected the Spurs to have a good play drawn up at any point.

He played 10/12 4Q mins.  He also had 8pts in 12 total minutes and was very effective.

Looking at the stats, and assuming the both that the Knicks win and that there's no big statistical swing during whatever is left of the series, I don't see how anybody but OG can be Finals MVP.

Even more when you throw in his game-saving tip-in and block last night.

Not sure how anyone who watched that game can deny that putting Alvarado on the floor with Brunson was an extremely intelligent move, or that Alvarado had a very positive effect on the outcome for the Knicks.

Who knows? The pairing might never work again. Heck, Brown might not ever use it again.  But for one amazing quarter, it worked superbly.

I generally don't enjoy watching Alvarado on the Knicks.  He was fun on a lesser team like the Pelicans, but his deficiencies on offense can be painful to watch on a great team with a such great offensive flow like the Knicks.  I was specifically talking about in Game 3 with a buddy of mine, who had actually gotten an Alvarado Knicks jersey cause a Puerto Rican PG from Brooklyn on the Knicks was such a quintessential NY jersey to have.

That being said, it worked really damn well among all the levers that Mike Brown pulled last night.  Even if they didn't win, if you looked at the game objectively, you had to give Brown a TON of credit for just throwing different combos out there and trying to get something to work, especially balancing foul troubles for most of the game.  Even more glaringly when you look at his counterpart doing stuff like benching Dylan Harper for huge chunks of the second half when he was an absolute DEMON earlier in the game.

Also, that being said, I still contend he wasn't better than "every Spurs player" on the floor in the 4th.

During the regular season the Knicks offense kicked into high gear with Kolek at the 1 and Brunson at the 2. Brunson has so much responsibility that it seems to clear his head operating without the ball. Brunson sometimes gets super turnover-prone, too. 

It's nice the Knicks found someone to shoulder the load without it being a big defensive liability.

There were 12 seconds left and the Spurs were up 1. He could have dribbled out several more seconds and then would have been fouled. It was an incredibly boneheaded decision by the team's "veteran leader." Amazing.

He was dumb like a fox, but with a different spin on the adage. The least the Knicks should do is make him the MVP of the game.

The Athletic reports that Tyler Herro has unfollowed the Heat on Instagram, which many think indicates he is part of a package Miami is preparing to acquire Antetokounmpo:

The Timberwolves and Celtics are believed to be the other leaders in the Giannis Sweepstakes. Boston would probably have to part with Jaylen Brown, who would then likely be traded for draft picks and young players.

Does Mitch Johnson have money on the Knicks? You get the ball with 38 seconds left, Harper's looking at you like should I go get a 2 for 1? And he decides nah, just walk it up. Let's have Fox brick a shot and they can get essentially the last shot.

You shouldn't have the "landing zone" be a flagrant foul, and then also give a player a shooting foul when they jump 7 feet forward with no intention of shooting the ball to actually make the shot.
