He's from an MU family.  He and all his sibs / cousins are MUHS or DHSA students and idk if they have season tickets, but
I've seen his parents and other relatives at MU games many times.

He'd be a great add.  Can do multiple things... 20 pts per game, boards, assists
and very athletic

I would think Marquette would have a great chance, but a TON of MUHS/DSHA kids go to Madison, too.

We are Marquette folks, so we are mainly talking about stuff having to do with our alma mater ... but I hope, dear sir, that you'll allow all of us to discuss all transfer portal news. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Bidunga is commanding $5 million (reportedly). He's the top-rated portal prospect and a first-round pick if he declared for the draft. Let's put to bed the idea that Nigel is getting $6 million. MAYBE half of that.

Kolek was a better shooter and passer coming into Marquette, Minessale is a better athlete and gets to the line a lot more.  I'd expect Kolek to have been a much better passer at the high major level, and Kolek did it at a higher level than Minessale has so far, but Minessale was a bigger scorer and averaged almost double the assists that Kolek did his freshman year.

And, of course, they're both white guards.

Minessale will need to be able to shoot it at a higher level from 3.

Given that Minessale's career 3-point percentage is 30.8% - including 30.6% last season on 4.2 attempts per game - it would probably be foolish to expect him to be a good long-range shooter for his next team.

Of course, Kolek went from 28% as a sophomore to 40% as a junior ... so I guess we (or some other fanbase) will get to see how much like TK he is. (At least in that department.)

He put one of the worst teams in MU history on the floor. This wasn't just a "bad" season. I can't believe some people want to equate this past season to being on the bubble and just missing the tournament.
