Not a ton, but he's been hitting open 3s at a solid clip his whole career. It may not feel like it because he does throw up the occasional dud. And look at the space Kam has to operate in the middle with Jop and Ben at the 4 and 5.

We'we (you've) been saying Benny is an nba talent for years.

Forget nba talent, we just need him to be a high major talent for a year and a half.

Let's not pretend he's a world beater all the sudden.

Oso and Shaka have been pushing him, and that's good enough for me.

I like you as a poster and was speaking in general terms. Anyone that doubted that Ben Gold does not know ball, imo. There are posters on here that I respect a lot and have seen a lot of basketball that I do not always agree with and love the discussion. That said, do you think Ben has been hiding his skills and just decided to show them today?

This is not Theo John blocking a shot into the 43rd row, this is a highly skilled big man that has been judged on three point percentage and how the coach has used him. He will play a very big role in the success of the team moving forward.

Ben Gold has been a high major player for his entire college tenure. That's why he was cracking the rotation on elite D1 teams his freshman and sophomore seasons.

It's one thing to say this is the first time he's looked like an above average high major starter. Even that I'd say is wrong.

I'm still not sure about the NBA thing. Whenever he decides to test the market, he'll have to prove to pro scouts that he can consistently hit the NBA 3. If he can, he definitely can play at that level; if he can't prove that, it's hard to see him playing at that level.

But he's already a good college big. He'd start for at least a couple hundred college teams, and almost any program would find a spot in the rotation for a 6-10 guy who can play sound team D, block a few shots and hit some 3s.

I really don't understand how anybody who has watched our 10 games this season could say otherwise.
