First time in awhile he's gotten something more than 18

This makes Giddey the 67th highest paid player in the league next year.
He was 35th last year in VORP and 40th in BPM.
Seems like a pretty good deal. What's your objection?

Yea the Bulls don't do much right but the Giddey trade was really good and this is a really good value extension for a player who was really damn good to end the year

Steve Ballmer is now claiming ignorance on the Leonard deal. And reports out of Toronto claim that Leonard asked for a $10 million "no show" job to sign with them.

Both should be suspended for a long time.

More likely the Timberwolves or Magic will get punished for this.  :D

His story doesn't pass the smell test at all.  And Silver's responses are problematic as well.

Well, my guess is Ballmer isn't the only one and that explains Silver's idiotic take on this mess.  I'm not sure what Silver can really do to punish Ballmer.  Voiding Kahwi's contract would be exactly what the Clippers want.  Fines or seizing draft picks will have literally zero impact as well.   I'm not sure they even have draft picks.

I'm fine with what Ballmer did.  Rich people shouldn't have to follow the rules.

I mean, the Joe Smith situation is kind of a precedent. It feels like Silver doesn't want to punish his richest owner.

Not should he.  If anything, he should deport some foreign players instead

There's plenty Silver can do, and he should do it. Follow the rules.

Though I also like Unk's idea about deporting foreigners. I can't believe American jobs are going to stiffs like Giannis and Luka.

I agree but his recent comments about it were beyond embarrassing.  Maybe this is commonplace?  I'm not advocating darkness but I think Ballmer should lose that franchise.

Torn ACL for Houston's Fred VanVleet, who might miss the entire season.
