Bulls sign Mac McClung.

In other news, the Bulls schedule will be games exclusively against the Washington Generals.

2 year extention for Durant for 90 mill.   Not sure that's a wise decision.

Houston.  I think I'd wait and see how he looks this season.

He averaged 26 ppg last year and this will lower his cap hit by $10 million a year. This is a great deal for Houston even if he slides.

How many games did Phoenix win last year?

Not many. Do you think that's the fault of their leading scorer or something?

Partly, he doesn't defend.

I guess. But I'm not sure how you think "how he looks this season" is going to matter in that regard.

It's a below market, short term contract  for a proven bucket getter. And a veteran leader on a young team. Low risk deal.

You guess?  Phoenix was one of the worst defensive teams I've ever seen.  Durant was awful on defense last season and is 37.

Now, with a team like Houston the only goal is a championship.  Maybe Durant is the missing piece, we all know he is among if not the best pure scorers.  But when I look at their competition I don't see him getting them over the hump.  Perhaps I'm wrong about the contract itself.  What I do know is that scoring is just one component of winning and Phoenix was a dumpster fire last year.  Do you think this Houston team beats OKC in a 7 game series?  I would say no.

He left more years and more money on the table to take this deal.  Great move by him to chase another ring and great move by Houston.

Well again, maybe I am wrong about the contract.  And Thompson's ceiling is obviously reminiscent of a Kangaroo's vert.  That said, I don't see Houston winning the chip.

Houston has fantastic defense. Adding a pure scorer like Durant for a friendly deal is great for both parties

Worst case scenario is you trade him next year as an expiring contract.

And this is how you end up with a mediocre team despite having one of the more dominant players of this decade in his prime on your roster:

"With the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly waiving Tyler Smith, they have gone eleven consecutive draft classes without signing one of their own picks to a second contract. The last Bucks draft pick to sign a second contract with the team was Giannis Antetokounmpo."

You'll always have 2021. That's one more title than teams with Barkley, Ewing, Stockton, Malone, Lanier, Iverson, Anthony, King, Wilkins and many other Hall of Famers won.

There. Now don't you feel better, wades?

They probably win in 2020 as well of not for the pandemic.

Yes. It's the fault of every player on the team - especially its best players.

To be honest, probably should not have won 2021 (Kyrie and Harden injuries), but then should have won 2022 (go 7 against the C's without Middleton playing a game).  But the Nets probably win in 2022 if not for the 2021 injuries as well.

as long as Ishbia wasn't part of the deal the Rockets will end up the winner.
