Here's what I'll say.  This was a "lone wolf", not some big conspiracy.  Otherwise it would have been caught.  Likely indicates the shooter was intelligent.  Had a plan, tried to execute, SS did it's job.

Conspiracy theories being germinated without any evidence. Borderline personal insults. Thinking everyone should step back and take a breath. I have plenty of friends with differing political opinions. It's silly to me to blow up relationships over politics. Lower the temperature here.

It's $15 more than three years ago when he would have been 17. Obviously his registering as a Republican and gun enthusiasm would seem to be more recent reflections of his views.

Taking down an assassin is one of their duties.  The main responsibility is neutralize any potential threats. The idea is proactive, not just reactive.  A family is in mourning today.

Even "eyewitness" Greg says he climbed up on the roof after the thing started, and was likely difficult to see. 

Again, threat neutralized quickly.  Agreed, I'm sad that someone (presumably innocent) also died.  But you're discounting how quickly this situation was "resolved".  Judge, jury, and executioner did their job.

And as in many of those cases (and Highland Park) it appears the parents bought their troubled child a gun.

Yes, but it sure seems inevitable some heads better roll on not only how that little bastard gained roof access, but how in the world ordinary citizens were more alert than law enforcement of Crooks status up there, even going up there. They have at least one fatality to answer for.

But, IMO, the outcome is not going to be significantly different than other public, mass shootings like Uvalde. Relatively little accountability

You think that a national news reporter calling a presidential candidate Hitler isn't hate speech that can inspire violence? Sure.

A president who urges supporters to "march peacefully and patriotically" is guilty of treason but a news person saying an ex president and leading candidate to be the next president is merely expressing her 1st amendment rights as an American. Holy crape.

You are responding to the wrong person. Rocky is stating facts. It is others who are Monday Morning QB'ing the security as a way to suggest gross wrongdoing by the SS (including your question on Drones...Why not wait?).

You even have at least one (JB) on here already postulating as to the possibility of this being a Democratic ordered/hired assassin.

Most of here are waiting for an investigation and are keeping a very politically neutral stance.

Others are already pivoting to making this political, and in many cases contradicting previous stances of their own regarding speech, while MMQ'ing security decisions.

Or

2. Trump campaign planned this out
