These threads on George Webbs/Qdoba made me think of the days of going to the bars, going to afterbars, getting something to eat at Michael's to refuel and then "opening" the Harp and Shamrock and listening to Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" over and over of the juke box (it was the only free song, so it got played repeatedly). Is the Harp and Shamrock still open? Do students still "Open the Harp?"

of course the harp and sham is still open, and yes students still open it. the locals are still trashy too, i.e. the prostitute that was there the last time i went

Good to know. What about Conway's? Anyone still go there? Is it open? Those bars are/were FUNKY.

Conway's is definitely still there and has an awesome Blues night every wednesday...

I believe the Harp & Shamrock has been razed recently.

Structurally not safe.

RIP Harp
