#8 not true. Guys will go home for Christmas for a few days.

Even better.

They can practice improving their mental health with some good ol family time

Hopefully a large MU contingent shows up and is the majority of the crowd

My wife and I will be there. We are every year.

Jop is so much better in catch and shoot situations than when he puts the ball on the floor. Seemed liked he figured that out tonight, hope he continues to play the same way.

If GT gets back into the Top 10 or Top 15 in the next 5 years, people won't show up?

The DC area has checked out of sports right now. The Capitals are 20th in NHL attendance, the f/k/a/ Redskins are 27th in the NFL and the Wizards are 28th in the NBA. Add to the fact that, unlike Marquette, very few local students actually go to Georgetown, so they won't show, and this has become a visible problem at games when there are 15,000 to 18,000 empty seats and you can only hide it so much. I'm sure the Big East office is mindful of this: Georgetown will play three games on Fox broadcast in Big East play, but none will be at home. Lower level tickets for the next home game (Creighton) are at $8 on the secondary market.

I remain an optimist. After 26 years of covering Georgetown football games (one winning season since 1999), you can't get much more frustrating than that.

Big Papi

Joplin was challenged by Shaka and the coaching staff and he came to play today.  Proud to see that effort and to take on that challenge head on.

Had 3 offensive rebounds all year and was challenged to get 3 offensive rebounds today.  When he got his third, the bench went wild.  9 rebounds in total.  The rest of his game fell in place today.

Hope it continues.

Agree. It's like someone told him he could drive and that's all he does. To paraphrase Ben Wyatt teaching Tom Haverford to play ball "I said you could drive, not that you could only drive"

Why does Shaka insist on playing Tyler and Oso up 35 with four minutes left? One wrong move and our season is toast.

Maybe because there is as much risk of getting a serious in practice as in a game the coaches don't worry about that.

This is great.

I was so confused when he got that board and everyone went wild (had the game on mute tonight to appease my son with his show on the tv alongside MU)

Good stuff by shaka. Mentioned the rebounding in the postgame too.
Great to see he is still having them concentrate on hustle plays and rebounding and ignoring the abysmal up to tonight shooting, knowing that that will come on its own

Not even close.

If I play my wife and beat her 62-0, it doesn't mean I played great defense.

Anyone else think that Kam's 3 point shot has returned to the same angle as his freshman year -- seems like he doesn't have the significant arc he had last year. Still making 3's-- but missing a few more than he did last year.

He's Rastafarian so he probably just wants to go somewhere where weed is legal.

Yep. I would say it's between his freshman and sophomore year's.

We don't pay enough NIL to do that. It will have to be someone already on this board to replace you. That is our culture.
