6. I blame Mrs. Leg

I hear she is intentionally slowing down healing process. Munchausen by proxy?

Where will Ben Gold spend Christmas? I am sure he is not going home.

Go to the portal and recruit over me.
I was just coming here to post that exact sentiment. Rocky's refusal to use the portal is why scoop will never get over the hump. It's almost criminal behavior. ( well not to the level of dental crime, but still.)

Let's ban Rocky.

Anyone else think that Kam's 3 point shot has returned to the same angle as his freshman year -- seems like he doesn't have the significant arc he had last year. Still making 3's-- but missing a few more than he did last year.

LaPhonso mentioned during the game that his shot had some side spin as it was coming off his hand.

Not even close.

If I play my wife and beat her 62-0, it doesn't mean I played great defense.

Agree that if you beat your wife it means something other than you played great defense.

Portal? Christmas bonuses to Rocky and SoCal have emptied the till. Have to be a walk on.

Kam is in a bit of a slump. Not worried.

Though his percentage at the rim last year was probably an aberration. Not surprised he's missing a few more of those.

The DC area has checked out of sports right now. The Capitals are 20th in NHL attendance, the f/k/a/ Redskins are 27th in the NFL and the Wizards are 28th in the NBA. Add to the fact that, unlike Marquette, very few local students actually go to Georgetown, so they won't show, and this has become a visible problem at games when there are 15,000 to 18,000 empty seats and you can only hide it so much. I'm sure the Big East office is mindful of this: Georgetown will play three games on Fox broadcast in Big East play, but none will be at home. Lower level tickets for the next home game (Creighton) are at $8 on the secondary market.

I remain an optimist. After 26 years of covering Georgetown football games (one winning season since 1999), you can't get much more frustrating than that.
does it hurt Gtown attendance that their arena is not walking distance from campus?...which I'm assuming also impacts SH and DeP attendance. Not sure the proximity of Prov, UConn, CU and X to theirs respectively, but at least for MU it's not unreasonable to walk to FF.

That might be a problem for students, but most of the people at games aren't students.

How do you sell this team to fans in DC? One reporter estimated 800 at the last game.

Jop is so much better in catch and shoot situations than when he puts the ball on the floor. Seemed liked he figured that out tonight, hope he continues to play the same way.

I might get injured patting myself on the back here.

Went to my first game in 10 years with my son (his first game).  Couple of thoughts:

1. Kam went to the locker room with about 4-5 minutes left in the second half by himself.  Didn't see any MU personnel follow.  Not sure if he returned to the bench.

2. The team did a really good job switching off after Sean Jones got switched to a big guy in the post.  When there was a moment, someone else switched with him to get him back out on a perimeter player.  I think there was only 1 time I can think of where Georgetown immediately fed the post player and they got a bucket off of the mismatch.  Overall, really good team communication on defense.

3. I like that Joplin was willing to put it on the floor and drive.  He's not great at it and I don't want him doing it all the time, but it's nice to see to keep the defense honest.  Same thing from Gold, but he's done it a couple of times in previous games from the top of the key.  Just nice to see they can do it.

4.  I'm really excited about what Al Amadou will be in 2 years.  Right now he's a bouncy energy guy who does get pushed around down low, but some time in the weight room will do him well.

Yes I think the arc is lower than last season.......his 3 point shooting percentage this season(even after last night) is 39.2 ......the exact same as his freshman season......last season it was only 36%.....

I don't know about the arc, but this has been his best shooting season and before the clunker last night it wasn't particularly close.
