That could be the case.
But as I said this is only Keeyan Itejere 2nd year and will only get better and could have helped MU.
Sorry if I had to make you defensive.

Will see how Keeyan Itejere entire college career plays out.
Keeyan is averaging 22 minutes per game this year with 4.3 rebound and 7 pts per game.  I suspect those numbers will increase throughout his college career as he gets more experience.
I am only saying he could have helped out MU this year.
Also not saying no need to have Al.

Oso's 2nd year was part time duty and primarily dunks.   Oso still struggles from the line.  Oso has the awesome benefit of Tyler.

Could have helped with what? Clean up minutes? NKUs def 2fg% is 54.1%, #290 in the nation.

This is Keeyan's third year in college. Like Oso, he entered THIS season at 21 years of age.

Oso's second year was a platoon and less than 40% of his makes were dunks. Oso issshooting 62.7% from the line, or almost double Keeyan.

KI's got a 5.4 fc/40 rate.

No. Keeyan wouldn't be contributing anything to a top 10 team. Al pretty clearly has more basketball talent than Keeyan, and he gets walk-on minutes.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Ok, so it sounds like Oso, Ben and David will get it done on the front court this year.

They've been pretty good so far.   Solid record.  Beat some of the top big men.  Stay healthy, gentlemen.

Okay, but that isn't what you said.

I thought I was saying Keeyan may have been able to help.
Posters replied they didn't think so.
My experience when someone does not think an individual could help is because they have it covered well enough.
Example:
Can I help?
Answer:
No I am good.

He's a great kid, but the guys we have are significant upgrades over him.

I thought Keeyan would help last year.   That proved to be one my less accurate predictions.    I think he has a chance by his senior year to be a 10-8 guy in that league.

Zero talent on MU after those 3.

A .500 conference record would be an achievement next year without Kolek.

No it isn't.. Stevie mitchell is right there with those three..and people are starting to figure it out.

SonOfWarrior

Frankly, Marquette would be better if only those three took the floor.

Right...but then which one don't you play 2 of?  I'd go Tyler, Tyler, Kam, Kam, Oso.  But that might be too small at the 4.  So 2 Osos?  But then maybe not enough shooting.  5 Tylers?

Keeyan with another outing last night. In 23 minutes, collected 1 rebound (defensive), a turnover and three fouls. 0/3 from the field, but 2 points scored on free throws in a 36-point loss. Oh, what could have been!

Hey, Keeyan doesn't look like the solution off the bench.
How about this guy?

As junior soprano repeatedly said, he never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

Let's start Tre or Zaide tonight and go back to bringing Chase off the bench.   Let the frosh play minutes that matter.   Let Chase go back to being an energy generator off the bench.

Ben Gold? He can't defend anyone, has little quickness and is too inconsistent offensively. If we are hoping for him to save the season...

Honestly I think the chances are greater that he's not on the roster next year than he makes the NBA.

I think Ben Gold has all of the talent he needs.   I think he missed two month of offseason conditioning and skill development.   Right now, he needs a confidence boost and a swift kick in the tush.

St. Thomas and Providence guarded Sean like he was a 5'9 Derrick Wilson.  Providence didn't even bother rotating when he drove through the lane.
Gold is what he is. Slow. No D. Line drive 3. Maybe there will be a jump up next season. I'm not counting on it.

Are we sure that Ross will be at full strength tonight or if he will be able to play at all? It wouldn't be the first time that a player returned to a game after suffering an injury but was then significantly worse the next day. 3 days is not a lot of time to recover from a significant ankle sprain.

I think there is a good chance that Norman and/or Lowery are going to be playing more than usual tonight and not just in mop up duty (if there is any).

When I get to the game the first thing I'll be looking at is whether Mitchell and Ross are suited up and look like they are ready to play.
