His blk% sucked, too. Time to cut him.

This is true.  His defense was terrific.   He will be a good one!

Only disappointing thing about last night was Zaide's 1 rebound in 10 minutes.  I was told he had the elite athleticism that Jop lacks that is a requisite to compete at this level of basketball.  Alas, maybe playing against Southern makes you look like a better rebounder than when you're playing the big boys.

(He did do a good job defensively on Absmas.  He looked in over his head offensively.)

Not concerned with his lack of rebounds. When he was in he was charged with face-guarding Absmas and it was effective. Not gonna put you in a good position to rebound when you do that, though.

The offense left a lot to be desired, but that's just being a frosh and getting in a flow.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Good call. I was pretty damn impressed by Weaver - high-energy guy who played with an edge.

Crazy athletic too.

If the FF was a Pepsi joint instead of Coke I'd get easy access to the Pepsi box. My S-i-L works for Pepsi but they only have about 6 seats, great seats but a box would be nice!

Surprised you brought this up as it makes you look like a bigger tool than you already are.  Zaide was assinged to Abams (a guy that the staff would never think to have Jop try to guard), and Abams whole game largely is 3 point line extended and Zaide shut him down. So, Zaide was guarding the further position from the basket, therefore limiting rebound opportunities.

All that said, not surprised you raise this point and once again illustrate your complete lack of understanding of basketball.  Stick to the Politics thread.

I grew up in a Coca Cola house, my grandfather was one of the original bottlers, and my dad worked for Coke until I started high school. I remember my dad bringing home the first Diet Coke can or the first New Coke Can, doing the Pepsi Challenge at Woodfield Mall, my brother and I used to record ourselves singing "Coke Is It" or "I'd Like To Buy The World A Coke" and my favorite commercial of all time is the Mean Joe Greene Coke commercial. Never had a Pepsi before college, can't stand the stuff.

I recently saw a "conspiracy theory" that was that Coca-Cola introduced "New Coke" knowing and intending it to be a gigantic faceplant failure. They intended this so that they could change the recipe of Coca-Cola Classic to use corn syrup instead of cane sugar so it would be cheaper to produce, but that when the reintroduced the (now HFCS-sweetened) Coke Classic it would be close enough to the original and it wouldn't be New Coke that it would cover the switch.

Makes you think.

I have not ordered chili in a restaurant since Senior Week, 1988.  Chili is something I want on a hot dog. And whatever it is, it would taste better with a diet Pepsi.

Bring your checkbook...actually bring your credit card, it's only plastic.

I've found my Fiserv drink and it's ridiculous.  A double tequila or double vodka + soda.  Runs you $22 + tip.  I can make those last a half and it's so much better for your soul than drinking A-B products.

The hitch is they won't serve you two at a time so if my wife wants one, we have to buy seperately. Yes, seriously they won't sell you two doubles.  They won't even sell you 1 double and 1 beer.  It really is the worst arena in America.
#BringBackTheBC

Well, I'll have most of the drinks beforehand. But yes, the prices at Fiserv are nuts.

Two things are certain about Coke: they are master marketers, and they spend a ton of money on being such. While the theory has been officially struck down as New Coke was officially introduced to appeal to the changing tastes in people to more sweet drinks, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some truth behind the theory.

There is just something so good about that poppy, sharp, acidic taste in a cold bottle of Coke. I'm a Coke Zero guy if anything these days, but the thought of drinking a cold Coke makes my mouth water.

Tower,

Be sure to use some high quality tomato paste (with a premier hot pepper) soon after sautéing the onions to start the base of your chili.  Harrisa is also a nice addition to this process before you brown your ground meat of choice.  Add some minced garlic of course as well before browning the meat with a combination of the assumed badass spices.

Now, here's where some important details come in:  The liquid combination you should add are the following:  smushed peeled cherry tomatoes (Mutti) with juices, Guinness beer, and some solid beef broth.  If you want your chili more liquidy and a bit of tomato juice as well.  After your meat is browned for about 6 mins and 22 sets, start to simmer for 90 mins.  With 30 mins left add either kidney beans or small red beans.

Your fixins should be:  diced red onion or spring onion,, cilantro, shredded sharp cheddar, and sour cream.  Enjoy.

My two "secrets" are cocoa powder and cinnamon, for my beef chili recipe.

Good call on both.  Those are part of my bsb(badass spice blend).  Tower is angry for some reason.

Not angry.  Not a chili lover.
