Purdue blown out by Nebraska.  Houston loses to Iowa State.

We need to relax about that Seton Hall game.

Good enough to take a full strength Providence to overtime in Rhode Island.

Good enough to have a lead against UConn with about 10 minutes remaining in the 2nd half.

So … pretty good.

But I agree that 10.5 seems like a lot. Unless MU is on. Then it’s too little.

Up to -12 just before the calendar turns over to GameDay.

It’s a ton of points, yes. Even if Marquette is a real good team with the longest home winning streak in Big East history.

Maybe getting punched in the mouth will help MU?  This team has every opportunity to make some noise if our top 3 get back to shredding dudes and hammer dropping.  I really hope tonight we break out.

What should the spread be Muggsy? 5 points?

Idk - butler plays zero defense and we’re a wagon at home. Only issue w 12 points is butler won’t foul at the end of the game if it’s remotely close and we miss out on those freebies.

The over is the play here tonight folks.

Teams that face adversity and are able to overcome it can go on to have very successful seasons. UConn 2023 is an obvious example, but there are dozens of others. Including Marquette 2023.

I don't know that Marquette "needed" to be punched in the mouth, and none of us knows if the punching is over, but sure, it could be something that makes our guys stronger. Or not. We'll see!

The home team gets 5 points.  On a neutral court, MU is five points better than Butler. Seems justified.

I really don't pay much attention to the spread.  If you're asking me do I think we're 10 points better than Butler in Milwaukee?  I would say yes 100/100 times Dr. B.

We know that we could play better going forward or we could play worse going forward, and that we'll get to see.  You constantly make fun of GE03 for his double sided predictions so he can't be wrong.  But you're absolutely no better.

I don't make predictions, he does. And he crows about the ones he gets right, I don't. And again, he's a big boy who can defend himself (and does).

Again though, thanks for being the Scoop Police.

Good teams don’t lose to unranked teams. It just never happens to good teams. Period.

Badgers get the win. Crisp, composed and clutch. Playing like a team that could get to Phoenix.

I said when Marquette lost that it was not a bad loss and more than likely top 15 team. Their schedule is actually on the easier side for the big ten. I’m could see them winning it outright. Wisconsin already has a 2 game lead over Purdue and looking at the schedule Wisconsin could start out 9-0 before heading to Nebraska.

Phoenix though is laughable

Storr has been excellent for them.  But the B18 hasn't impressed me at all.

Not laughable.   There is constant discussion here about there being no great teams this season.   If Wiscy can keep on keeping on, why shouldn't they have a high seed?   If they are playing well, why not them?

Who's laughing??  It's disturbing and I wish them misery and failure.  :)

Always.  But objectively, with the way this season is going, it would not surprise me.
