Marquette gets a lot of love nationally - especially for what ha been a middling program for quite some time.

It also seems that most of the announcers on FS1 and CBSSN have a very favorable view of Shaka.

We have heard this much positive chatter for Marquette in a long time.   Let’s keep it going!

Why doesn’t the national media love my team as much as I do

I had the exact opposite take. It was almost like he was lobbying for an assistant coaching position.

Yeah, he couldn't have been more complimentary to Shaka, Tyler, or Joplin.

How many steps did that DePaul player take to score a basket that really did not matter? They must be NBA refs.

FS1 announcers to the DePaul game were very positive towards Marquette.
How can you slam a team ranked 16th?

I agree with this 100%. That said I think he has found his calling. I know we are supposed to hate all announcers but I think he is pretty good.  He should stick with it.

Yeah, he was complaining Shaka got a guy he was recruiting. I agree he couldn’t have been more complimentary. Gushing.

I agree with this, I think he is very good. Understated and knowledgeable, he doesn't intrude on the game.

I thought he was insightful, but also able to relate to the typical fan.

After the game, Tyler went out of his way to go shake Lavall’s hand. So, Tyler seems to like him.

Save for the inept political hack from Syracuse in Providence.

Back in my days at MU, we thought the MCC refs hated us since joined the conference and then immediately announced we were leaving it.  Seemed like a lot of calls went against us.  I finally figured out that it wasn’t the refs; we just sucked then.

It wasn’t so much they hated us, it was that it was all rigged for Dayton  :)

Yes!  It was all about Dayton who was going to host the MCC tournament forever it seemed. Until they followed us a year later to the Great Midwest…

Agreed about Lavall.  Thought he did a great job on Saturday.  Outside of Raft, he might have been the best FS1 commenter we’ve had this year.
