In the postgame, Jacobson lauded Max Prosper. Fox hates us.

Everybody hates us!  In the words of Nancy Kerrigan.....why???????????

Except that a huge part of his job is calling Big East games.  I'd forgive it if he did it once.  But two games in row?

Perhaps you should send Fox Sports a tape of you calling the game. I am sure you can do a much better job.
Have some patience, FFS.

I didn't say I would be better than Bardo.  I just said that he's broadcasting Big East games and should stop saying"Big Ten...I mean Big East".  I know he played in the Big Ten, but it was 33 years ago.

We are closer to the Big Ten than the actual "Big Ten."

In Bardo's defense, he works a good number of BigTen games as well.

I caught part of an Illinois game Bardo did a couple years ago.  That was quite bad.

Nick Bahe isn't overtly biased considering he played at Creighton.

And I haven't noticed Brian Anderson lean towards Marquette when he does the non-conference games.
Although he does throw in a few local references that national guys would not know.   Like mentioning Joplin played for the Lancers in high school.   I guess that inside take could lead some to say he leans towards our local teams.

That group along with Fanta have been great with their praise for us for much of the season.

Yet a different trio with Chris Mack still isn't convinced we can go deep.  Let's see which group is right.

Ok.  I understand the natural tendency to root for the underdog in any sport, but I thought Jason Benetti's call today was annoying at best and downright unprofessional at worst.

I think you are searching for reasons to be mad.

+1 I thought Beneti and Bardo were fine. Only thing I found annoying was us letting St John's back in the game on multiple occasions. But 17-3, 25-6 is so remarkable I'll get over it!

Stoopid Benetti almost cost us the game. And I tell you what, Bardo almost did too!

Not comparing this team to any other team in MU history, but Al's teams let a lot of teams hang around. Those teams often had their runs or mini runs to take control of the game and almost never did not end up wining the game.
I love the play in the first 8 minutes today to overlook the rest.

Benetti is a true pro at the announcing game.

Bardo not so much - doesn't even rank above Dickie Simkins in my book.

Jacobsen having rudimentary communication issues isn't our problem.

Marquette seems to have 8-12 minute stretches where they overwhelm the opponent to the point where a lead is extended to a large number or a deficit is eliminated.  The first 8 minutes today decided the game until the miracle minute

Are you nuts? No reason to be excited by a(n almost)10 point comeback in less than 30 seconds except you hate Marquette!

That's crazy talk. I like Bardo a lot. He's got kind of an "aw shucks" way about him that I enjoy.

I will say in my conversations with Jason over the course of this season, in private he has been incredibly complimentary of MU, Shaka, and the team.

The last three games they had 6-9 minutes spurts and put the opponent to sleep. We need them to extend for more of the game to deliver the goods in March, but those stretches have been very impressive.

I don't disagree with you very often, ATL, but on this one I do.
