When the "Catholic 7" broke off to create the New Big East,  Brando stated,  ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS,  that it was a terrible move and the Big East would become a mid major.

Don't remember what was said. Was a big listener to his radio show. Rothstein, etc, etc had the Big East lumped in with the AAC and the A10. Let's face it, the narrative changed when Kris Jenkins hit that three.

Will be curious to see who Detroit pairs with him.   The last few years have seen a revolving door of former Tigers, essentially on a game by game basis.    The play by play guy, about my age, was a little too deferential to his heroes from 1984.

Hopefully they can settle on one and stick with him

Bennetti is a South Sider as well and grew up a White Sox fan.  This has money written all over it.  Reinsdorf is unloading payroll at all levels.  Cheap new GM and cheap holdover manager.  Payroll for players will be at least 50-75 million less than a year ago. 

He just needs to sell the team.  Its embarrassing.
