i believe i mentioned something along these lines during conversations regarding LIV & PGA.  i will look for it but coming to some kind of agreement makes too much sense.  no, i haven't read the specifics yet and will, but i had to puff out my chest a little bit first ;D

"the PGA sportocrats who ran their organizing game convincing pro golfers to turn down literally hundreds of millions of dollars to stick with the Association and then stabbed them all the back, took the money and ran

honestly incredible stuff, hall of fame crapbags"

I want Rory's real-time reaction to finding out

I thought the PGA was supposedly a player run organization?

They've already announced the merger is for-profit.

From the CNBC article:

"Separately, PGA TOUR Inc. will remain in place as a 501(c)(6) tax exempt organization"

MU Burrow

I have been a golfer, and a golf fan, my entirely life and love golf more than MU basketball and my weekends just got a lot more flexible. There is not one thing that the PGA has done that I approve of over the past 18 months, and this is horrible for the game, IMO. I am not boycotting watching, but there will be a lot less hours sitting in front of the TV watching some of my favorite tournaments.

I cannot say it is a sad day for golf but it is a sad day in my golf world.

I'm stunned Goose.  This is a sad day for me as well.

I will be boycotting, which is a sad state of affairs over a game I love so much.

I wonder how long it will take before a Wall of Fame featuring the 9/11 terrorists and the bone saw murderers starts popping up at PGA events.

In my world golf is a gentlemen's game. It is a game of honor, tradition and integrity. In my golf world there is no #16 at the Waste Management, music on golf course and pro's wearing shorts. I am an old school guy in regard to golf and professional golf will never be the sport I love again.

I don't care about the Saudi's, Chinese, UFO's or any other group that was associated with Liv. It prostituted the sport and I think it is a sad day for old school golf fans. That being said, that is my opinion and my love the game diminished a tad today.

Goose,

Whose to say this won't have a major impact on other sports?  Even college sports?  I think this is beyond terrible and I'm a bit dumbfounded some people cannot see it.

This is the one, shut it down.  All other analysis need not apply.

Today is the 79yr anniversary of D-Day.  All of this stinks to high heaven imo.

The real clown in this equation is Monaghan. He shouldn’t earn a penny from this starting with his 9/11 comments to selling out.
