[Cracked Sidewalks] Baylor Preview
« on: October 23, 2022, 08:42:23 AM »
On paper, Baylor looks like they'll be a complete nightmare when they come to Milwaukee in late November. While they begin the season in the top-10 of seemingly every poll and metric, they do start the year with a number of players coming off injury, so how healthy they are will likely determine how far they go. Cracked Sidewalks digs into the national title contender whose hopes hinge on health.

If we can’t beat Radford, how the hell would we beat Baylor?

The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
There is no try, only do

That's an error. The final score was 117-53. MSVU score 21 points at halftime. Still, a ridiculous score.

Too your point. The MU women didn’t think so!

Also that Baylor final was 117-53 and that does not in any way take away from your point either.

That makes it a little better. Safe to assume Baylor covered either way lol.

That's a true top 5 team. Hopefully MU can catch em early enough to where they are still trying to iron a few things out.

Good early season test!

Share link to rankings please. Not seeing it updated yet.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Those are still last weeks rankings, fwiw.  No way UNC stays at #1.  Purdue also hasn't shot up yet.  Rankings should look a good bit different than those.

Great opportunity for Marquette to receive more votes.
Could this be our Illinois game last season?

HUGE week. Need the crowds' energy to match the importance of this week.

Based on early returns, it looks like Baylor is still consensus Top 10 and UW is receiving a handful of Top 25 votes.

Massive, massive week in Milwaukee and this is exactly what we hope for!  Huge games on our home floor with a young team looking to gain valuable experience.

Find a way!

There are loads of tickets on sale on StubHub for tomorrow's game against #6 Baylor for anywhere between $2 and $8.

Is this fanbase dead?

Dead? No. We have some of the best attendance in college basketball. We play in a massive arena and attendance at college basketball games is down across the nation.
