Agreed on seeding.

But didn't the conferences come up with the playoff rules/format?

Quote from: Uncle Rico on December 21, 2024, 04:38:55 PMEach year, there are maybe 2-3 teams that are legit national title contenders.  The rest are just fodder.

We'll get some upsets every once in awhile but the truth is, there will be a lot of teams in the playoff that really don't have a chance

Yeah, even when there were 4 teams, there would be semifinals that were a joke because the top 2 were so far above.

Yes. They made compromises to honor the conference championship games that they may not the next go around.

But also playing these games on campus should absolutely continue. Much better atmosphere than bowls.

LOVE the campus locations

Can we just make January 1st the title game?

Oregon and Ohio State is the title bout

Travesty they are a elite 8 match up.

Also, I am far from a gambling pro and watch college football much less than most

But I told anyone I know who gambles to absolutely pound Smith over on the yards and scoring a TD.

There was nothing more obvious after the Michigan debacle that OSU would come out slinging. And that guy is insane.

This is not nearly as bad as Fraud Cignetti

But I just don't get the logic on punting down 28-10 with 21 minutes left on 4th and 4.

You've scored 10 all game. They have dominated your D. How is punting going to keep you alive?

There's a middle ground. But yes, definitely more that way

I look forward to a prominent national figure like Herbstreit coming down as hard on TN and SMU like he did IU

Rutgers lost the Rate Bowl to Kansas State.  This will hurt Marquette's cause.  Never good when a former conference foe loses a bowel game

Rutgers played in a bowl game? Who knew?

Incredibly huge win for USC over Texas A&M in the Las Vegas Bowl last night.  Should take Lincoln Riley off the hot seat and build incredible momentum heading into next year and onto the recruiting trail.

U Conn moves to 9-4 with win over Tar Heels in Fenway Bowl.

I guess this will be used as evidence in The Huskies insatiable desire to move to a Football Conference . Not.

Nebraska wins the Pinstripe Bowel.  Huge win for the Cornhuskers who are now officially back to blue blood status.  Should be a launching pad to a tremendous 2025.

What a treat this game was seeing two NFL legends duel at such a legendary MLB stadium.

Bama vs Michigan is why college bowl games are just as dumb to bet as week 18 NFL

No telling who is gonna show up

A Michigan win would be huge for the Big Ten and therefore, Marquette

No, a Bama win boosts UGA, which boosts MU'S resume'.
